Parsad Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Vinodh Loganadhan, Fairfax VP and Prem's brother-in-law, passed away after a long struggle recovering from a devastating heart attack/stroke. Vinodh, like JoAnn Butler before him, was incredibly generous with his time and would help us any way he could for our Annual Fairfax Financial Dinners over the years. He was a wonderful person, friend and worked tirelessly for Fairfax. I'm very sad to hear his passing, and my thoughts go out to Prem, Nalini, the Watsa Family and the Loganadhan Family! https://www.humphreymiles.com/obituaries/Vinodh-Abel-Loganadhan?obId=38060201
LC Posted March 2 Posted March 2 That's horrible, I am sorry to hear it Strokes, and their causes - are no joking matter. I have a friend, mid 30s have a mini stroke. Stress related from work, kid, too many side projects... Prioritize your health! To try and position it for this audience: the longer you live the more your money compounds!
RockNation Posted March 2 Posted March 2 At age 70.. damn. Unfortunate that he had to painfully leave the life he loved so much - . It’s nice to read that he built and lived a beautiful life while he was here though. RIP.

While there is no way for us to know whether or not Vinodh's passing was caused in part by any neglecting of his health. I completely agree with the sentiment. Getting older brings about a plethora of undesirable changes to one's mind and body. But, virtually ALL of those changes can be mitigated, sometimes substantially, by healthy diet and exercise. We can all do better in that regard. -Crip

He was in very good shape and took care of himself before he became ill. He was in long-term care and physiotherapy to learn to do things again and walk again. It's just the way things are...when it's your time, it's your time. Cheers!
thowed Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Sorry to hear this. Many of us have a lot to be grateful for towards him & his work at Fairfax. Condolences to his family.
