I hope you enjoy my book.  @Brett,  I've been suffering from sleep problems lately the first part of the nights, unfortunately, now, for a long time, the first part of the nights understood relatively, as I'm a 'severe' 'night owl', so this is likely early morning to others! In those periods I've been reading your book since it landed here.. Here, certainly!, not to be misunderstood. Food for thought in approiate doses -, one night, one dose [here meant as : One chapter, one investment, one thesis] at a time, in proper doses.  Your book - at least to me - many places - rocks and challenges the concept of 'Buffett being an [god almighty] 'investment savant'[, while he has personally always been the first one admit to mistakes], while it's now totally clear to me, that it has all been hard work for many decades, also in the early years, to get to very top.

Pre-partnership, I cover: Marshall-Wells, Greif Bros, Cleveland Worsted Mills, Union Street Railway, and Philadelphia and Reading. The partnership investments I cover are: British Columbia Power, American Express, Studebaker, Hochschild Kohn, and Walt Disney Productions.  I have been posting some Buffett-content that didn't make it into the book on X, such as his letter to Merchants National Properties: https://x.com/brettgardner_10/status/1836016824833515657  Happy to answer any questions about the book!  I will be having some events in NYC promoting the book and will be at Berkshire next year. Just read the WSJ article with the (no) comment from Mr. Buffett. Congrats on the book. Kind of cool that he seemed aware of it.
John Hjorth Posted December 17 Posted December 17 Why don't you post in the approriate books forum and topic about it? In stead of here?
