What is FACTSET and is it worth it for investors

I keep seeing in the WSJ publications where they quote numbers from FACTSET and I wanted to know if this tool can help investors and how.

Here you go Camo.  FactSet isn't cheap and their are plenty of other services out there.

tikr.com is your friend or your local library providing access to SP Netadvantage. this may not be as good as Factset, but tikr.com costs very little and you library access costs you nothing.

If you're not working in the industry and having access from your company, there is almost no reason to pay for it...

This looks interesting, but is the data accurate?  It looks the the price data is off by one year for BRK. They are showing a low of $159 in 2019, wasn't that the spring of 2020?

I like the monitoring tab for a quick way to find discussions by people who are significantly more capable than myself.

 

The quant data is close enough for me.
