Envy is the most powerful incentive and you just need to look at his past to see that he just wants to be known as ultra wealthy. How long till congress turns on him? How much further do their portfolios have to drop in addition to the increasing likelihood that they’ll get ducked in the midterms?

Idk, recessions really draw swing voters to the other side. Not sure if they can pull that gambit. Especially given that it’s a very visible and obvious cause and affect here….

Playing devils advocate here. Does sovereign wealth fund necessarily mean privatization? They can just put the entities as they are, in conservatorship, into the fund and get all the cash flow to diversify into other assets.

Yea, my Trump supporting friends are some of the kindest, most generous people I know, including a few on this board. Whereas many of my liberal friends can be pretentious virtue signalers. I’ve noticed this pattern for quite some time…not sure why the discrepancy.

As someone who opposes him, I like many of his policies (taxes, spending, regulations, energy, pro business, non interventionalism, border security), I also like his creative style in negotiating. I also think he’s hilarious as a person. Would have been great if he stuck to this without the fascist stuff such as trying to overthrow an election, for example. This negates the qualities of whatever good policies he has.
