Yea, my Trump supporting friends are some of the kindest, most generous people I know, including a few on this board. Whereas many of my liberal friends can be pretentious virtue signalers. I’ve noticed this pattern for quite some time…not sure why the discrepancy.

As someone who opposes him, I like many of his policies (taxes, spending, regulations, energy, pro business, non interventionalism, border security), I also like his creative style in negotiating. I also think he’s hilarious as a person. Would have been great if he stuck to this without the fascist stuff such as trying to overthrow an election, for example. This negates the qualities of whatever good policies he has.

I work in healthcare and use epic regularly. I’ve worked at multiple hospitals. Job description always includes what the EMR is because that may make or break whether someone takes the job. Healthcare workers don’t want to take a chance getting used to inferior EMRs. Hospitals are incentivized to use epic for this reason. It may be very expensive but they can likely hire more people for longer periods at lower pay and less burnout.

Those blaming Ukraine for the war, and for not having a ceasefire is the equivalent of those who blame Israel for 10/7 and not having a ceasefire. Should the US support Ukraine? Israel? Taiwan? South Korea? I’m inclined to believe that there are benefits to being the world’s most powerful military and offering a security umbrella.

Did Zelensky suspend elections for the "good of the country" given Ukraine being bombed? There is a such thing as benevolent dictator - wasn't Lee Kwon Yun one? The U.S. does have allies that are not democracies - namely Saudi Arabia. It's a proxy war - NATO vs. Russia and luckily Ukraine is the only one putting up soldiers. We put up the money, they put up the men. The question is whether its worth fighting Russia or should we just let them take annex Ukraine. There are different ways of looking at it, but if we were going to support them we should have done so hard and fast. Biden slow walked sanctions and fighter jets among other things. Should have been shock and awe from day one. Why is it sacrosanct that we support Israel? Is it the same reason - proxy war (against Iran)? Or is it their lobby?
