Apparently this asshole finds value in the forum or wouldn't be whining for free access. What a loser. Can't even afford $50. Must be even more frustrating to not be able to troll all the responses here.

Oh damn. I hope you're doing better. Gentle and restorative yoga as soon as your physician says it's ok. Seriously, if you do it for a while you'll get so familiar with the positions that you'll pick a few favorites to randomly and effortlessly do throughout the day. It makes a world of difference.

Capital efficiency and tax avoidance seem to be the big rationale(s) for keeping it all together. This will rankle many (and rightfully so) but I still see Easter eggs at some point. I might be dead by then but...

Dropping this here. Didn't want to put it in the Nintendo thread for fear of hexing things over there. -

I quit the oilfield in 2000 and started a business that I was completely unsuited for (wholesale jewelry). Went from having a nice nest egg to a shitload of debt (40% mortgage and the rest unsecured). Went back offshore and started paying people back. Didn't negotiate any of the debt down, just paid it off. Built a house and paid it off within a year. I was so overwhelmed that I did not want to owe anyone monetarily. My views have softened a bit and I wouldn't be so reluctant now. Psychology, go figure. https://www.investmenttalk.co/p/a-masterclass-with-bill-miller?r=6gq23&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true If I sell my home and get what I want, it will have produced a decent investment return over a 22 year holding period, with most of the capital employed in the property over the past decade. I could have gotten significantly higher returns in equities. But, how do you put a value on enjoyment and peace of mind? I don't feel the need to try and wring every nickel out of my life's work. You guys are not wrong either. -

I've been debt free for about 8 years (just checked, make that 10 years) now and the peace of mind has been well worth the opportunity cost. That said, I've been thinking about selling my home and moving in town (closer to the action). I'd probably put 50% down in a yuppy-ish Pensacola neighborhood (East Hill), and put the leverage to work. My musically inclined, Libtard buddies all live in and around this area. In other news, early this year, I sold a HB 1st/1st of FTaRH (with an unclipped DJ) for $600 on Feebay. I had recently re-watched the movie and re-read the book and found it to be more tragic than funny. The movie is still funny, but damn, Stacey just wanted to be loved. Bought an Arturia Minifreak with the proceeds. -

Nice. I'm going to see these guys in Birmingham tomorrow. -
Halford still has a set of pipes! Looks kind of like he's sitting in a wheelchair here (but he's not). Too bad he doesn't mention Charlie in the lyrics.

Terrible place to be from. I remember my parents going to a school/church meeting when a black family was trying to get their kid into Pius. My parents had them over for dinner and the neighbors hated us afterwards because they thought my folks were trying to sell the house to black people (the place was for sale at the time). We moved to Milton, FL around 8th grade. No more futbol until I went to AATC in Ozark, AL (Airframe & Powerplant mechanic training), and another student organized a squad. I'd love to find a good sax player! -

Yes. I (62yom) went to Catholic school in Mobile, AL when he was still at Man U. Played soccer at St. Pius X and our coach (Fr. Nicolas) was straight from the motherland. I had nun's all the way to the 7th grade and thought most of them were IRA terrorists. I still get nervous when I hear Edelweiss because of the trauma of sister Gertrude's music class. Was an alter boy, love fart jokes and my Dad grew up in the UK. Dribble on brother! edit: I don't keep up with what's going on in the game now but do catch important matches. Don't care who wins, just enjoy watching the artistry. -

Bought a 1% position in JACK yesterday. Watched it pop this morning and regretted not buying more. Checked back in this afternoon and doubled up.

I don't believe he had any effect on iPhone sales but did produce a halo around the equity. I also believe the greatness of the iPhone is not so much due the hardware but in how well it integrates with the entire ecosphere. -

I own Dominos and am hesitant to even look at anything else in QSR but I'm all ears, thanks. I like their salty advertising. Anyone eat there? Comments? In the early stages of a big investment in POS to integrate with 3P's, and automation technology for productivity. Growing digital sales. Comma's are not important. Making money for franchisees is. Speaking of which, with the franchisee problems settled, management expects 4% unit growth to 2025 and wants to be open in 40 states by 2030. We might even get one here. https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/jack-in-the-box-orlando# Also, franchisee's are onboard with re-imaging programs. Echoes of Wendy's. More capital investment going into Jack In the Box than DelTaco (remains to be seen how DT turns out). Buybacks! Been on a slide since 2021 with a few nice bumps. Maybe time for a more consistent and forceful change in price direction? Give me a lever and I will sell you a billion frozen tacos. [I sourced Zacks for some of this] JACK Zacks 2024-04.pdf
