  13. The cool dictators all know how stupid he is.
  14. Don't get me wrong, I watched a lot of guys do stupid shit at work and learned from it. Just can't stand watching it in a movie or TV show.
  15. I remember watching Burt Reynolds in Heat, when he won like $100K or so at blackjack and then went to the bar with the guy he was body guarding. They talked about what he could do with the money and then he went back to the blackjack table. I switched channels because I hate watching people do stupid shit. Spoiler alert: he lost it all.
  16. Some lifelong friends of mine have a kid who graduated a local university with an MBA. After he got his BA, he was hired at a large national bank. He worked there for a few years (while living at home), and quit because he couldn't stand the pressure (LOL). I had preciously advised him to not quit until he had something else, but of course I'm an idiot so... Fast forward to him receiving an MBA, and he still didn't have another job. He started searching for something in investment management, even though his eyes would glaze over any time I tried to engage him in a discussion about investments. So, he actually got hired at a nationwide brokerage firm. I had told him repeatedly that his primary function would not be managing anyone's money, but would instead be dialing for dollars. Once again, I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm talking about. He didn't last a year. He still lives at home and is a fry cook at a local restaurant, but according to him, he's worth $100K a year.
  17. That reminds me, anyone still long Beanie Babies?
  18. Somebody sure needs to rail on that draft dodging ass clown.
  19. I've been in Chicago for the past week and have never met a nicer bunch of people. If you say good morning to a stranger walking down the street in NY city, they look at you like you're crazy, but here people actually smile and greet you back. We've walked all over this town into the wee hours of the morning and not seen any signs of it being a crime ridden, war torn shit hole like the Mar a Lago Molester claims. If not for the ice agents assaulting and zip tying children, it would continue to be a peaceful place. Just think, all this to protect the president and a bunch of other wealthy pedophiles from being exposed and put in prison. I LOVE CHICAGO and will definitely be back. BTW, go get the deep dish at Pequod's in Morton Grove. Old school family owned with great atmosphere and their caramelized crust is delicious!
  20. Make America GAza
  21. My bad too (deleted). I’m on my phone and thought it was the politics thread too. Chicago is still a great city!
  22. Thanks for the heads up (pun fully intended). Looks like I'll be hitting Miami in December.
