Iran "emerges" from this war extremely badly damaged - and if something doesn't change quickly in the next 48 hours, per Trump's deadline, it only gets much worse for them. Imagine most of your military assets and now infrastructure being destroyed - and the regime "survives". You think the Iranians are going to stand for the regime pumping billions into their proxy wars and military rebuilding while the Iranian people just starve?? You are looking at an entirely different Iran. One that has been smashed into oblivion. How will they rebuild absent oil revenue? How will they have oil revenue with the US effectively putting a blockade on Kharg? Iran just turned all their Arab neighbors against them by attacking them for no cause. Iran has no friends left - other than the usual suspects, Russia, China, N Korea - and also now some cowardly European countries. It's clear Trump/Israel hold all the leverage and more with each passing week.

It's very logical for Israel to redraw their most important borders given that Hamas & Hezbollah can never be trusted. Israel earns their new borders as they rid themselves of rats/terrorists and create new buffer zones.

Trump really upsetting Europe. Just think: you destroy one of the biggest risks in the world, a nuclear terrorist state. Then you PROVE and destroy the terrorist's ability to REACH Europe - and embarrass the Europeans at the same time - since they believed the nonsense that Iran had no nuclear ambitions AND missile delivery capabilities- and now the Euros are livid. Spain, Italy, France, UK,,,, ---- Keep 'em. Time to fend for yourselves,,, American public opinion turning quickly. I love how it's always Trump is selfish, Trump doesn't care about anyone, Trump is a King, blah, blah, blah. Maybe it's as simple as he took care of an urgent, serious issue instead of passing the buck to his successor, regardless of party affiliation. Maybe he didn't "prep" the American people precisely because he warned them hundreds of times leading up to his surprise attack - and did not want to endanger American or Israeli lives... Nah, that can't be it! That makes way too much sense.

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding. I have never said that the Iran war was a political "winner", in fact, I said a few times - it is not - and was done out of courage & necessity, not to garner votes. It's been a very risky endeavor politically. Americans will be delighted that we wind down the campaign - and certainly will very minimal casualties given the magnitude of success.

The damage done to their military factories, air defenses, navy, Air Force and leadership is incalculable. If they are set back 10 years in their nuclear missile goals - it's well worth. Now they get to deal with Israel with their incredible human intelligence. The IDF has proved capable of taking out any leader at any time. They can rebuild, all the time with a gun pointed at their head and a smart bomb pointed at their homes.

The only thing the citizens have to worry about is their own government killing them.

Yeah, sure. It's better if you don't negotiate. With the military seriously degraded, nukes gone, all defenses gone, hundreds of terrorist killed - we're done! Any attack needed later by Israel or USA - will be that much easier. Everyone is happy!

Hopefully, there will be no US ground invasion. IF it is "mission accomplished" - with virtually no US casualties - wonderful! The citizens of the USA will be delighted. Iran can then clean up their own mess and others will have to work something out to get their oil.

Thanks - I'm well aware of their cell structure. Very smart. Also explains how difficult it is to negotiate with them. Which gives the USA/Israel the green light to continue to destroy all the military & gov capabilities that they can. Once the US is done with the objectives Trump laid out - it's over to Israel, the Gulf States and others to conclude it. Works for me!
