  1. You might as well put your faith in the Climate Change scam, DEI and the Immigration disaster, since all of your favorite publications did as well. Take in all the information you like from all your sources - but learn to think for yourself rather than have them do your thinking for you. The latest Economist featured article "Operation Blind Fury" is about as delusional as you can get. Perhaps, next time, the publication will just let the Mullahs write it for them. I never realized that it was "reckless" to liberate Iran from a theocratic death cult. "Courageous" would be a far better word. I graduated college in 1977 - and vividly remember the photos in Time Magazine and Newsweek - which featured hundreds of Iranians being hung from construction cranes by these monsters. Nothing has changed since that time. But you go right ahead and side with The Economist.
  2. I don't see how this helps Trump short term at all. It helps the Middle East, Europe and Israel a lot - but doesn't do all that much for the USA except get rid of a longstanding headache. If this were all about the mid-terms, Trump would have been far better to concentrate on the economy and Western Hemisphere.
  3. How does someone make that credible? 1. Commitment (burning the steering wheel) If one driver throws their steering wheel out the window, they’ve removed their ability to swerve. Now the other driver faces a binary choice: Swerve → survive Don’t swerve → both die Result: The committed player “wins” almost every time. 2. Reputation If one driver is known historically to never swerve, the other will yield. This is repeated-game logic: Past behavior shapes future expectations Reputation becomes a strategic asset 3. Asymmetric incentives If one player values survival less (or appears irrational), they gain leverage. A rational player must swerve against someone perceived as irrational This is sometimes called the “madman advantage” Equilibrium view (game theory) Chicken has two Nash equilibria: Player A goes straight, Player B swerves Player B goes straight, Player A swerves There is no stable equilibrium where both go straight (crash) or both swerve (unstable—someone is tempted to deviate). Key takeaway (important) The game is not about bravery — it’s about: Credible commitment Signaling Psychological dominance You are sounding more and more like Monty Python's delusional Black Knight that gets his arms chopped off,,, "Tis but a flesh wound"
  4. Appreciate the advice Blake -- "Tis but a scratch" Be sure and keep me informed of Iran's impending victory.
  5. If I told you 100X and you still don't get it Deal, that's ok, cause I know you're a little slow in your old age. Here's what I said: Iran is not winning this war, unlike what your buddy Viking keeps spouting. There is a "cost" to get rid of the world's largest terrorist nation. Keep relying on the NYT & WSJ as "objective" might lead you to a different conclusion. Oh, and don't forget Deal: this campaign by the US & Israel has been a stunning success.
  6. It's great to be untouchable - and it has to be very frustrating for Iran - and it shows. If they drag all their neighbors into the war - they assure their destruction. But it is certainly wonderful Iran can not hurt the USA. You fail to mention the obvious: Israel is a primary driver of this war - and is certainly paying a price. Which only seals Iran's fate...
  7. Very clever - too bad it cost them 30,000 soldiers
  8. You'll need to show me a war plan that has gone better than this. I'll wait.
  9. Iran has a huge Trump card - if they can play it. But the USA has been decimating their minelaying capabilities - and by bringing in Apache Helicopter and A-10 Warthogs - they may prevent minelaying boats. Who wants to test them? We'll find out soon enough. Don't forget all those suicide drug boats in Venezuela that have been destroyed like clockwork. The US/Israel battle plan has been flawless.
  10. Robert Mueller totally disgraced himself. There was never ANY evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia , except for Rachel Maddow telling suckers for 3 years straight that there was. There was NEVER any "obstruction of justice" on the part of Trump as you can't obstruct a crime that didn't exist. It was very evident early on that there was NO evidence - yet, Mueller carried on his baseless investigation for almost 3 years before he exonerated Trump. This investigation was nothing more than another "get Trump" episode, that became the standard for the Democrats attempting to destroy future runs for President. Lavrentiy Beria would have been so proud of Mueller's disgraceful political witch hunt. It served it's purpose of a never ending inquisition to inflict tremendous damage to President Trump's first term. That will always be Robert Mueller's legacy. Any good he ever did has been long forgotten.
  11. Oh yeah, the USA is really getting an ass-kicking...
  12. Robert Mueller was a very highly regarded and respected FBI director when he was in the Bureau. And then in one fell swoop - he destroyed his entire legacy. So unfortunate.
  13. I'm sure, cause we all know Iran is winning - and Russia and China, their steadfast allies, are coming to the rescue. The USA and Israel are in deep shit! The WSJ and NYT told me so.
  14. Japan shows the way as a US ally, unlike NATO Looks like Japan will get their oil. https://english.kyodonews.net/articles/-/72724 https://english.kyodonews.net/articles/-/72649 All you can say is Trump is brilliant. While others watch, Trump gets things done.
  15. Definitely a damn shame. It's unfortunate that Mueller's legacy will be the fabrication of evidence and leading a politically motivated investigation, breaking all legal/ethical rules to "get Trump". Letitia James, Fani Willis, Robert Mueller and Jack Smith all destroyed their own reputations without any help from Trump. RIP Mueller.
  16. Doesn't look like the two are close at all to an agreement. But Iran is in deep shit. Certainly no reason to let up on your enemy when he's not close to surrender or your objectives are met. And we are certain achieving objectives in a way I've never seen before. (no significant losses)
  17. I get it from everywhere basically, MSM all day long - cable news - you tube sources - podcasters - as you would expect. Then I decide what I believe. Kind of how most people ought to do it. It's easy to spot a bias or agenda - then you just have to decide if you believe it. The sources of "unbiased news" are pretty scarce.
  18. The best line in the whole article: "Starting a war is the most serious action that a political leader can take. It ends lives and can change history." Shocker - the absolute genius of the NYT!
  19. Yeah, the old NYT is right: Iran is sure kicking our ass! Oh, and now Trump is a war criminal. Yup - that's the NYT for sure! LOL
  20. Simple John - Europe is not self sufficient in energy. The USA is close to it - but we are impacted to a much lesser degree. What is the cost of a gallon of gas in Europe now vs the USA? What is the cost of electricity vs the USA? Here in Illinois - expensive state - gas is still around $4 per gallon. And Europe's electricity is 3X higher?
  21. Now that is funny. Everyone needs the war to end quickly, particularly Europe and China, since they are most exposed to energy prices. Yeah, and Russia/China are going so strong, that their famous air defenses completely failed Iran in 24 hours. Their reputations will never be the same compared to the American military. And they are SO strong - they are coming to the defense of their ally, Iran. NOT
  22. Absolutely. Who wants war? Some things, like destruction of a terrorist nation may come along with a high price. And it's also quite dangerous for the incumbent's legacy - as it quite risky. That doesn't mean you don't do it when enough is enough.
  23. Get to the point Blake - what is it you really want to know?
  24. Blake - is this your way of acknowledging that somehow the Hamas Oct 7th massacre was justified?
  25. Oh believe me - they learned a very tough lesson unfortunately. When all the past approaches of appeasement and ass-kissing (Obama) don't work -then your only option is unconditional surrender. It's ugly for sure.
