How come decent managers never launch closed end funds with respectable expense ratios?

I have shares in SEQUX (5+ years) and FAIRX (7+ yrs) in my IRA. I haven't been shaken by their poor performance in the last few years (and longer) of underperformance. I added money every year. But many more years should I give them before I just switch to the S&P 500 index? I just don't know anymore.

I was thinking the same for DVA.

They underperformed, YTD, over 1 Year, 3 Years, 5 Years and over 10 Years. That all one needs to know. Another win for index funds. RIP 20 years? :'(

I keep seeing headlines about markets being at record highs but then I look at my own portfolio and is way down from like 2014/ early 2015... :'(

We have loan brokers in the USA too. He/she can be very helpful if you can find a good one in your area. Get some referrals from nearby friends and families.

You are PROBABLY OK, Don't leave anything visible inside the passenger compartment, lock it, park it under or very close to a light. Pine Knob is a different area than where this happened. I would not go into Flint though... You shouldn't have anything visible of anything in your car, anywhere. Not a sweater, not a jacket, and definitely not a bag. Don't even bring too much stuff and if you have stuff, put everything in trunk. Maybe I'm just used to it around here but I take that precaution everywhere. It doesn't matter to me if it's a super nice gated community. Same mentality.

Well, all those people wanting to cut back on the 2nd Amendment rights & gun control probably have not had the experience of a home invasion, thefts of vehicles, etc. They probably also have not had to deal with AGGRESSIVELY incompetent police too! I wonder what the response of gun control people would be if they knew the police won't do anything? When they learn they aren't even INTERESTED in doing anything! I guess in their fantasy "la-la land" people don't have the right to protect themselves & their property when society & police start falling apart. I just hope things don't get worse. I & my father lived in Detroit in the 70's & 80's. I've seen REALLY bad times, I hope they don't come back... You and your father won't have issues getting a gun even with more gun control since you're are regular citizens and have no priors (assuming).

Being Chinese, I understand that the wedding is not about the groom or the bride even though she is the main star. The wedding is about the family first (and a bit about friends). The wedding is for them to enjoy. I know some people do a second wedding with just friends and get to enjoy it actually.

I am just outside of Detroit, and yes we have water & power. MOST of Detroit has water & electricity...only most... I know for a fact this is not a problem limited to Detroit. I had terrible problems in Houston. I had problems with Barron's here outside of San Francisco. I got a subscription due to expiring credit card reward points and it came like 3 or 4 times before it stopped coming.
