This was one of the best investment opportunities for the board or those who follow Fairfax...The opportunity was driven by some mistakes Fairfax made in the past that made the market miss price this stock...it gave people the opportunity to buy a cheap stock with high margin of safety and gave Fairfax the opportunity to buy the TRS on itself, which accounted for 2b in gains far (might be wrong)...This might not be your NVDA but its one where there is not to much needed to understand how this will play out in the long run....Similar to Stelco where the CEO stated couple months before the buyout that in the future they would entertain a buyout...

Stelco Deal completed...Should see gains in Q4 results

one of these days/months the IPO for the vehicle that holds Bial will IPO and we should see this stock price double which will then add to Fairfax Financial gains

You can just FFH in CAD account using CAD then journal it over to USD side and not face this issue

I think real test will be the upcoming earnings..many stocks have high expectations

2 year and 10 year both above 4% ...Should be good for fairfax if they want to extend any

Also its hard to go to 0 when each of the companies are separate companies vs the holding company...Its more about risk reward if you buy FFH at 1.4 there is possibility it corrects...The real big risk to FFH is what happens when Prem leaves and his son/daughter take over
