Yeah in theory, after ABH owns 50%+, they can cut FBK some nice wood chip deals and FBK can flow dividend back to ABH to increase the valuation of both companies. WOW! Now.. back to reality.

Anyone who pays a 'fair' price for something and is offered 40% more the next day and decides not to take it, would be considered...what? Unless of course, $1.00 is WAY below a fair price? No way ABH will take $1.40 from MERC and, unfortunately, I doubt MERC wants to be in partnership with ABH, although I know of no competition between the two. Maybe??? Why not?? Perhaps ABH needed to pay $1. for about half the shares and is now willing to pay $1.40 for the remaining half (via matching MERC offer)? It would seem fair from a minority shareholders position and save ABH from paying $1.40 on 50% of the shares. FFH, Pabrai and Oakmont would get screwed a bit...but they're the ones who signed the hard lock up. Steelhead would want $1.40...after all, money is money, even if you own, MERC, ABH and FBK (not sure if that is a mess for Steelhead or brilliant?). I think only a corporate lawyer would have true insight into this, the rest of us are guessing with a conflict of interest. It's obvious ABH is trying to rip the minor shareholders off here. No one is tendering to them except the lock-up triplet. If the supreme court kills the warrant, do you think MERC will stick around? At 1.05, it seems the market is saying no. This maybe legal but it's not ethical and absolutely not fair.

F,P&O is constrained by the lock-up, how would Steelhead justify tender to ABH? Is it legal to tender to A even if B offer is better? Is it legal to tender at X and your cost is X+ ? Anyone expect some sort of lawsuit here?

Anyone care to speculate what is going to happen next? ABH is now own 46% of FBK. What will MERC do, the best they can do is get that 53%... Assume steelhead tender to ABH, ABH owns over 50% then what? I don't think anyone else will tender to ABH at $1. So they still won't have the control until they replace the management and board eventually... (I assume ABH is not going to take 40% profit to tender to MERC :)) This is so bizarre.

Man, what has FBK management done to make P, P and O so pissed off they are willing to lock up with 1$. Or what synergy $ ABH can get with FBK... ?

I like the subject of the news - I hate all these dirty tactics. The $1.4 offer will likely get withdraw if ABH got the 50%, shareholders like me can only choose between $1 ABH offer, sell now, or hold on and see how ABH will rip us off.

There was a huge boom in 2003-2004 which lasted until about 2009-2010 and everyone with some brains who applied themselves could make good money. Not so much anymore, both because the boom is over and has been replaced mainly with sports betting and because many countries have taken legal action to restrict the market. My little advice to you: always remember Rule#1 all the time, the hard part for you will be keeping and growing what you have. You can't imagine how hard it is to make that 1.5m back if you ever lost it. Good luck!

... 1.5millions from online poker and at mid 20s... When did u start playing it? If you feel that's sustainable, keep doing it, why change if things work? Everything I think I could "retire" and manage my money, stock falls and I realize I need the steady income and sitting around at home all days doesn't improve my result. It may allow me to jump in quicker when I get an new idea. But most of the time, I just invest/trade the same dozen stocks - so I just need to spend time following them or doing new DD.
