serendibz Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 [amazonsearch]One Click: Jeff Bezos and the Rise of Amazon[/amazonsearch] Has anyone read this book yet? Would you recommend it?
Phaceliacapital Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Not yet but I advise you to read the excerpt as featured in BW: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-10-10/jeff-bezos-and-the-age-of-amazon-excerpt-from-the-everything-store-by-brad-stone I read it today and decided to buy the book :) ""Bezos rarely speaks at conferences and gives interviews only to publicize new products, such as the latest Kindle Fire. He declined to comment on this account, saying that it’s “too early” for a reflective look at Amazon’s history, though he approved many interviews with friends, family, and senior Amazon executives. "" :D
bookie71 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 There is a nice article about him in a recent Fortune.
WhoIsWarren Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I'll throw this short video into the mix. It's Julian Robertson -- a former adoring fan of Apple -- talking about why he sold his Apple shares. But more generally it's a commentary about company culture and treating people right. From reading the Business Week excerpt, it seems like this could be applicable to Bezos and Amazon. Twacowfca, you would probably concur! ;) http://www.cnbc.com/id/101092520
