Harvard business school cases

Let me start by saying that lot of the board member might not value Harvard opinion or even care to check that but has anyone used it to understand industry or company better. I think buying case for few dollars is definitely cheap but I think there is no easy way to judge quality before buying it.

They could, but probably not the most efficient way to learn about industries/companies. I had a class in school that was basically an entire semester of doing HBS cases, they were more for putting you in the position of the decision-maker and having to make decisions that have no right answer.
