Buffett_Groupie Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 http://finance.yahoo.com/quotes/CRM,LNKD,WDAY,GWRE (salute to these innovative companies in the heart of silicon valley!)
Palantir Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 This is a good idea if we can keep a list of "first rate" firms, by sector, starting with tech, regardless of valuation. That way...when the price is right, pounce. My contribution is RHT and GOOG.
Kraven Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Palm, Atari, Netscape, Polaroid, America Online, Compaq, etc. All fantastic tech companies that might have been on this list at one time or another.
onyx1 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Palm, Atari, Netscape, Polaroid, America Online, Compaq, etc. All fantastic tech companies that might have been on this list at one time or another. Laughed out loud at this one!
netnet Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Palm, Atari, Netscape, Polaroid, America Online, Compaq, etc. All fantastic tech companies that might have been on this list at one time or another. They were not on my lists; at least Atari, Netscape and Palm weren't. Things change, GM was the most valuable company on the planet once. (And, as for AOL, they gave you a fantastic exit with a bell ringing at the top!)
Phaceliacapital Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 How can a company as WDAY still be alive? Mcap 10 bn for tangible book of 100 mn??? Thats even worse than WCOM in its prime.
