I recently left my job in financial derivatives and I'd like to work in green energy. Prior to my last job, when I worked at a law firm I had experience in M&A with energy such as utilities and natural gas/pipelines, but not renewables. If I wanted to be taken seriously, what things would I need to know in renewables to bridge the gap from working on fossil fuel stuff to renewables? And if you were in my shoes, how would you get past the first AI filter and get an interview if you didn't have recent experience in the field?

I have some ideas, but I'd like to hear other takes. Thanks.
