Is there a registration link with details of dates, price, locations? There should be a Thomas Cook India table at the AGM that will be providing some information and registering names for further information to actually join the trip. The trip is well worth the money! When I went on the first one, it was five-star, fully-managed and organized all the way. We even had access to things that you cannot get without Fairfax having arranged it like dinner at the Canadian Embassy in Delhi with the Ambassador, a full-tour of BIAL, private jumbo jet from a secured Airforce base to Bangalore and several expansive, amazing corporate and non-corporate dinners! Trip of a lifetime! Cheers!
investmd Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 I’d like to go next year. I won’t be at AGM, but if anyone has info pls do post here.
dochood Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Does anyone know any details about the 2027 India Trip? Or know who I could contact to find out about it?

The information booth would have been at the Toronto AGM a couple of weeks ago. You usually sign up there to receive further information. There aren't a lot of spots each year, so I would suggest calling Fairfax's office and telling the receptionist you would like to possibly go on the Fairfax India Trip...can she provide you the contact information for the organizer for the trip. The number is (416) 367-4941. It's not cheap...it's probably one of the most luxurious/comprehensive itineraries you will ever go on, and it's jam-packed with activities, sights, sounds, events, etc. We had dinner at the Canadian embassy in Delhi with the Canadian ambassador, we had dinner at two different palaces, all of the hotels were 5-star, the tours were first-class, comfortable and very well-taken care of. We had our own private jumbo jet on one leg of the trip leaving a private army base airport, extensive tour of BIAL, a workshop/tour with the dabbawallas, and one fantastic lunch and dinner every day...not to mention breakfast, snacks, drinks, parties. One of the greatest trips I've ever taken! Vinodh took very good care of all of us...he was such a terrific person! Cheers!

I went on the 2nd trip like 6 years ago...it was about $10K USD per person back then...I took my mother with me. She still raves about that trip! I would think it's at least 20-30% higher now...or more. At that price it was a bargain, since many of the parties, events were sponsored by Fairfax or Fairfax India companies. If you did that trip with an independent travel tour group, it would cost double! In fact, some of the things like dining at the Canadian embassy, tour of BIAL, etc...no independent tour group would be able to organize those. Cheers!
ValueNation Posted April 29 Posted April 29 At the FIH AGM this year the price quoted at the booth was $11k USD not including flights in or out of India

I highly recommend it...you will be very well taken care of and get to see a great deal of India in a short period of time. You will also make some terrific new Fairfax shareholder friends or get to enjoy some time with those you might already know. Even though it is a somewhat shorter trip (I believe like 11 days), it is jam-packed. We were up at 5:30-6am every morning...had breakfast by 7am and out the door on our bus/plane to enjoy the country. Usually a visit to a heritage site in the morning, a 5-star lunch at a very nice restaurant, a Fairfax company event in the afternoon, a few hours of free time, then the fantastic evening Fairfax dinner/event around 6pm at some amazing hotel or site. We would usually go to sleep around 10pm-12am, and then be up again the next morning at 5:30-6am. Cheers!
JGBRK Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I spoke with the booth person and he said last year’s price was approximately 11k for 1 person and 18k for two, not including your transportation to India. That was last year.

redhots Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I’m interested as well. I just called the number that Parsad gave and the receptionist forward me to some guy’s voicemail and I left a message, but I don’t have any more details.
