rogermunibond Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-02-18/actavis-said-to-near-25-billion-deal-to-buy-forest-laboratories.html I can't believe that no one on this board has posted about this. Francis Chou bought Watson back in 2007 for around $27 per share. They've gone on a real tear since 2012. Acquired Actavis, Warner Chilcott, and now Forest Labs. In this space, VRX and ACT are the two stellar standouts. Hopefully ENDP can repeat as a pure imitator.
ourkid8 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Yup, it has been a total homerun but remember this is a relatively small position for Francis. As per September 30, 2013 it was 2.1% of his fund. 2013 was a superb year for Chou Associates... :) Tks, S
no_free_lunch Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Dan Loeb bought into Activis recently. It is now his largest holding (according to dataroma) with about 8% of assets.
watsa_is_a_randian_hero Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I had owned Watson from about 27 to 60. sold way to early.
