Have him call up small companies ( look for start-ups especially) and he should try to work for them for free. Which industry and city is he looking to work in?

I found this interview which discusses primarily about bubbles.

Hey guys,
My 2003 Malibu is no longer working. I'm fairly tall so I'm looking for a mid size rather than a compact. What cars tend to be reliable, lower cost and good gas mileage? I'll probably drive it for 10+ years. From what I've read Honda has declined in quality from the old days.
Nope not true for the Honda's. As a matter of fact with the new Honda Accords. They have luxury features that were in BMW or Mercedes at a cheaper price point and work really well. The one thing is you have to go to the service center to get your car updated with the latest software. It is free though.

Nothing wrong with that. I would've liked if a shark tank investor created a fund that is invested in shark tank like companies. I am surprised Kevin O'Leary hasn't done it.
-
Didn't he make most of his returns by front running orders, analyst upgrades, and other stuff that would probably land him in federal "pound me in the ass" prison, today? Just like Cramer.
You are talking about James Dinan of York Capital.

I'm confused... at the end of The Big Short, it said he's focused on investing in water. I'm not seeing any water stocks.
Try finding a water ETF.

Smartcuts by Shane Snow - I highly recommend it and I hope it can change my life this year.

Not good for the city of Omaha.

Ask him about the evolution of his strategies over his investing career? How many different quantitative strategies does he run?

I was surprised some of the people think Trump will win.
I am surprised that some people think that Trump won't win...
Who is going to beat him? Hillary?
Hillary's biggest problem will be staying out of jail.
If by some chance that doesn't happen, she'll get destroyed in the debates. What about all the scandals? Whitewater, bimbo eruptions, N. Korea, Vince Foster, Monica Lewinsky, foreign donations, Clinton Foundation, confidential & secret emails, Benghazi, Arab Spring....that is just what I could remember off the top of my head. She simply has too much baggage. Who is an enthusiastic Hillary supporter? This election will be nothing like the last one...
The electorate is absolutely fit to be tied. Many, many, many people think establishment politicians have sold the country out. This is not only on the right of the political spectrum, but the left as well.
We'll see...
It should framed the other way around. Who can defeat Hillary? Because she is the favorite to win the election. Trump has a lot of momentum going forward and we will see if he can win.

Mainly you have to stick with the Outsider for a Decade or two. Now I feel I can identify Outsiders pretty well it just comes down to the performance which some of it has to do with luck.
Can you say who you consider to be current Outsiders and invest into?
Thanks
Sure, Mark Leonard of Constellation Software, Selim Bassoul of Middleby Corp, and Brian Jellison of Roper Technology.

That "the outsiders" is overrated.
"The Outsiders" likely suffer from survivor bias and possibly selective selection bias. This does not diminish of what the Outsiders from the book did. But it's likely that identifying Outsider in advance is harder than people think.

Was Joel in the movie? Because the old guy didn't seem to look like Joel at all nor was his name Joel.

Interesting...... A cool idea would be to do a reenactment of deposition transcripts. For example Kobe Bryant.

When are you coming out with another Youtube video? If so, on what topic.
What stock gave you the highest return ever?

I was reading bad reviews of the Agora newsletters so I am wary of them. But I would read Thomas Phelps book, it is very entertaining and it gives you more perspective of the past.

Ultimately space elevator is the way to go.
Probably won't happen for another 20 years or so. Possibly longer.
I can't imagine what it feels like going up an elevator to space. It will be crazy to see a structure like that.

I would be surprised if he made a guest appearance. Couldn't find any info on IMDB. I definitely want to see this during the holidays. Did the movie make references to value investing?

If his passion is film-making. He could transfer and become a film major at NYU. NYU is known for film-making. Now does he want to work on the business side of films. It's possible to get an internship but that requires networking or start at the bottom at some company and work your way up. OR could intern at a new media company.
Edit: Tell him to learn the film making industry and talk to film makers to truly understand the career.
