So far, Tilson is on the right track: https://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=brka&ql=1 :) Still behind AAPL, XOM, GOOG and MSFT, but will see by May next year for the 50th anniversary in Omaha! -

Temperament being equal, genius IQ is better than high IQ which is better than average IQ in investing! One can decide for oneself which level of IQ Buffett/Munger duo possesses. If you're an BRK shareholder, you're already convinced their IQ is higher than yours, which is what matters and everything else is irrelevant, right? :) If you aren't one, then you can debate the IQ issue for decades while coming up with all kinds of reasons for not becoming one: size, succession, scarcity of elephants, the duo's health, age, diet, mental state...

The Buffett/Munger duo didn't focus on outsmarting others who are smarter than they're, according to Munger, they did it by avoiding doing dumb things the smarter people do as part of "Invert, Always Invert" approach. He called it "ignorance removal". They're simply humble to say there're a lot more smart people than they're. What are your thoughts? -

It's good to under-estimate by everyone and over-deliver by Buffett! Besides, 8.5% compounded for 2 decades years without paying any taxes (until sale) is much better than 8.5% dividend or interest income, right? In addition, if you borrow money at 3% to get 8.5% while the interest expense is 100% deductible against your personal income, then your effective borrowing rate is less than 2%, which translates to even higher return than 8.5%! LOL :) -

But I'm still in pain :( -
When it first became public, it's at $12 per share and no one expected it'd reach $100. Then when it reached $100, no one expected it'd reach $1,000. Then when it reached $1,000, no one expected it'd reach $10,000. Then when it reached $10,000, no one expected it'd reach $100,000. Then when it reached $100,000, now no one expects it'd reach $........ per share (you can fill in the blank here! LOL :-)) Enjoy the fun and the bull markets hitting historic highs each week! :-) It's very painful for value investors, including yours truly here as every sale seemed to be premature this year :-( How do you folks fight or ease such pain? Any help is appreciated before I spend a fortune on a psychiatrist!
