Cheap, nice dividend, well capitalized, buying back stock. One should do decently well here. Although not betting the farm on it.
-
JOE, CMA, CFG. Financials really getting clobbered the last few days.
-
More MANU common stock and calls
-
OSTK calls.

I believe a sale will happen at some point in the future. At the current price, it’s selling at a hefty discount to what a less (albeit just by a smidge) well known soccer club sold for (Chelsea at $5.2b) a while back. If the Glazer’s choose to not sell now, they can sell in future years when media contracts become more valuable. At that point, the valuation may become even higher. The margin of safety IMO is pretty good here. MANU has significantly underperformed in recent years since they took over so the pressure will remain from the fans. And MANU fans are pretty intense (not just in the UK but all over the world). Been a MANU fan for probably close to 20 years and it’s one of the most storied franchises in all of sports. I just don’t see how this is not sold for north of $6b when things finally settle out. May require a waiting game but I’m willing to wait things out with the discount that exists now.

Purchased MANU and SBUX common stock Shorted JOE and MSGE puts to lower my cost basis.
-
Sold some 9/22 OSTK $17.50 puts. Pretty decent premium and attractive stock to own if assigned.
-
No lol. Wish my account were that size. But a decent amount. Premiums were too good to ignore. And it's a stock I want to buy.
-
Shorted some KVUE 1 week $21 puts. Decent premiums, discount to current price if assigned.
-
C, CLPR. May take a long time to realize value here but with the good dividends patience is being well rewarded.
-
1 month CSPs on M at $12. Decent premium and a nice way to get the already undervalued stock at a discount.

Of course everyone is different. But in my experience, letting kids cry it out for a few nights is worth the long term benefit of them being sleep trained. Kids won't cry forever. At some point, they will tire out and fall asleep. After 2-3 nights, our little one became accustomed to sleeping alone. There are a few skirmishes here and there but most of the time sleeping through the night is what we have observed. And the earlier sleep training is done in my experience, the better. Around 6 weeks for me is generally what makes sense for sleep training. The initial sleep training requires a bit of internal fortitude on the part of the parents. But in the long run, the parents and the child will get more net sleep and a more peaceful home existence from pursuing this course of action. Everyone's mileage will obviously vary. Our little one sleeps from around 7p-7a +/- a few minutes this way and has largely been doing so since around 2ish months of life. On the subject of co-sleeping, I generally do not subscribe to it. They can sleep in a bassinet in our room for the first 4-6 weeks, but once that period is done, the bassinet moves to a different room. Co-sleeping on the same bed with us is tough because one could inadvertently sleep on them and that's certainly not a good thing.

CVS September $66 calls

Been doing this for the better part of the last 3 years. In tandem with a health sharing plan. Way cheaper (you usually get amazing discounts), more physician time, and just better care overall.
-
T Bills expiring in 2 months. Have some other positions but good to have easily accessible dry powder in case something breaks.

FRFHF
-
Sold CSPs on PYPL expiring tomorrow before the close of market today.
-
New position in CVS. Pays a good dividend. Pretty decent value compared to many others out there IMO.
-
Decent amount of CASH. Short term RTX Calls
-
Sold CSPs on STNG expiring Friday. Market is a little too skittish for me now so largely staying in cash… until a compelling opportunity appears. Fairfax seems to be one of the better values now.

Starter in FRFHF. Need to do some more digging on the robust thread.
