  1. Anyone familiar with this asset? Obviously he's betting on volumes / continued demand of natural gas that's transport across state lines. Wondering if anyone has any more insights on long-term drivers? anything else that's attractive about the business? (maybe that since it's difficult to build new pipelines, its an even more attractive asset?).
  2. Does anyone know the formula that Berkshire charges its managers for incremental capital or the credit they’re given for the capital they return to the parent? I’m speaking of the operating cos.
  3. that's awesome...where did you see that? or was that photoshopped?
  4. Is there any limit to this stuff? So much commentary that the Fed will likely buy corporate bonds and then later equities. What is the consequence of all of this? I guess is worked out ok after the GFC. There was no substantial inflation (or were we just not measuring the right goods).
  5. Sorry created a correct Poll thread here. https://www.cornerofberkshireandfairfax.ca/forum/general-discussion/coronavirus-survey-17991/
  6. I wanted to create a survey to get a sense on what assumptions the market may be pricing into the market. For the purpose of this survey, I'm using the US only to focus on one geography. Poll results available to anyone that votes.

When do you think that coronavirus is effectively contained (growth of less than 10 cases per day in the US)? A) around the end of April 2020 (sometime in Q2 2020). B) around the end of July 2020 (sometime in Q3 2020). C) around the end of October 2020 (sometime in Q4 2020). D) 2021. E) 2022 or after.
  8. besides BRK?
  9. Re: the public equities portfolio on page 12, Buffett writes "are earning about 20% on the net tangible equity capital required to run their businesses." Has anyone seen how Buffett calculates net tangible equity capital? Also am curious what he refers to as earnings (operating earnings or net income), but first wanted to confirm the net tangible equity capital calculation.
  10. Any favorite mutual funds look interesting?
  11. I have been getting the same issue on the CHTR page. My guess is someone may have inadvertently reported the page as a malicious page. I reported that to be incorrect and it’s a safe page. Hopefully corrects.
  12. Bought more DVA and LBTYK
  13. I think it’s pretty clear (based on his actions), he thinks the stock is attractively priced relative to other alternatives but not substantially attractive. Seems to me that the change in buyback policy probably made because of the accounting change re: investment treatment as opposed to the stock being significantly undervalued currently.
