  1. Pretty funny boys. In a couple of months, it will be 10 years since Trump announced his candidacy. Everyone laughed, including me. I thought he was a cartoon character looking for publicity. At this point, he's at the pinnacle of success in the greatest country in the world. He's never been more popular or successful. Enjoy it brothers, he'll be around a long time, no matter what you throw at him.
  2. You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes - and frankly, neither do I. Trump is a businessman and an obvious brilliant one at that. He's made his opening salvos, he will adjust as you do through a negotiation, and quite possibly put the USA in a much better situation. With the recent court ruling you posted yesterday - there will likely be an appeal, perhaps up the the Supreme Court court - so yeah, it's a process. You obviously think it's all over for Trump. I'd say it's far from over.
  3. Explains a lot. The Trump tariff salvo was the clear indication to come to the table and negotiate. None of it was hidden in the least. Basically - here's what your current tariff arrangement will look like going forward - however, we encourage you to get in line and discuss our issues & your issues - so we can come to a arrangement that works for both countries. Could not have been more clear on each iteration of tariff hikes. These guys will misrepresent it all day long.
  4. John - yes I remember well. Several years ago, I attended one of Pabrai's meetings in Chicago, where he spoke in detail about Fiat/Chrysler, with a potential Ferrari spinoff. Bought a ton of it. Made a lot of money. But like a bozo, I sold the Ferrari within a few months - only to watch it continue to rocket up. Of course, it's no normal car - but luxury class bragging rights.... I still think a Ferrari would "look good on you".
  5. A man of John's stature needs some Ferrari !
  6. LOL - Please, take 'em!
  7. Who knew that Ukraine was our war now?
  8. We're happy to battle the Houthis and reclaim the Red Sea for you, while you sit at home.
  9. Now that's a good one, after a totally brilliant military campaign. Hamas, Hezbollah leadership - wiped out with stunning tactics. Iranian radar - totally demolished - now unprotected from IDF Air Force. Houthi's creamed.... Good luck putting leadership back in place - they have about a 60 day shelf life. Good thing they have hostages - otherwise, there leverage is gone.
  10. LOL,,, Art of the Deal... try not to lose your shit in the meantime. And, NO - we don't want any part of Canada in the USA - 51st state? Another California? Joke's on you!
  11. Oh, that's funny - 11 years later, long before Trump. Promises, promises. Better late than never!
  12. So much for Trump being a dictator. Separation of powers is real. Sovereignty of nations is real. Bibi will do what he wants. Putin will find out. Harvard will lose - hell they keep breaking the law. Trump has to compromise on his spending bill. The dems are getting clocked on the culture wars. Trump may actually solve the Ukraine & Middle East wars - Iran will be next. Lots on the plate - it's real early now. Stay tuned and keep rooting for failure.
  13. You better keep your fingers crossed, hope & pray. The Trump offense is pretty damn unstoppable. And the country is behind him - as the Democratic machine self destructs. It's a sight to behold.
  14. Viking is a wise man.
  15. That's pretty lame, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Obviously your embarrassed about Canada being the deadbeats of NATO - good for you.
  16. Actually, you are on to something. The last thing the world wants to hear about is "black on black violence". It's a very inconvenient narrative, I know Iive in Chicago, and because 95% of black murders is blacks murdering blacks, you are not allowed to talk about it. Anyway - that's Sudan, that's South Africa. IF you say it, you'll be branded a racist. Look no further than Uganda. Millions die? Don't talk about it. It's much more effective to talk about whites killing blacks. Ignore the elephant in the room. South African crime is off the charts.
  17. No doubt. How will you stop it @Blake Hampton ???
  18. You and I rarely agree on anything, so it's nice to see some common ground. The only worthwhile victory is "unconditional surrender", which entails total humiliation of the enemy. Palestinians will learn, that their chosen leader have led them to death and destruction without a prayer of victory. Why??? All for nothing of course...... tragic beyond belief. Nothing but hatred accomplished, paid for in innocent lives.... when your leadership takes you down this path and insures your destruction,,,, well - you picked the wrong leadership...... can Hezbollah, Houtis, Syrians, Iran help you..... I guess not. FAFO. So, so sad. All decisive wars have to end in total humiliation...... so pointless, but radical Islam demands it. Let them start again,,,,, their leaders will be murdered, innocents will die. But you asked for it.
  19. Nice dodge. Few things are more important to the safety of allies than military agreements and alliances. Clearly alliances are extremely critical with the likes of Iran, China & Russia around. Why does Canada persist in scamming their best allies if you have no antimosity to the US or Nato?? Canada was doing this long before Trump ever entered the political scene. Simple question.
  20. Canada is doing wonderful. Just don't count on them to honor their commitments and pull their weight in NATO! You may hate the USA, but what did NATO do to deserve this? Embarrassing.
  21. Except Canada refuses to spend any money on their military and NATO. That's why Canada is in this pickle. Damn that's embarrassing.
  22. A big thanks to Congress for granting POTUS much broader authority in the tariff issue. The Trade Act of 1974 granted the president new authority to negotiate trade agreements and adjust tariffs, while also creating mechanisms to protect U.S. industries and workers. For example, Section 201 provides a mechanism for the U.S. to protect domestic industries from serious injury caused by import surges, and Section 301 grants authority to the U.S. Trade Representative (a cabinet-level position that leads an executive branch agency that is responsible for developing U.S. foreign trade policy) to take action against foreign countries that violate trade agreements or engage in practices that are deemed unfair and negatively affect U.S. commerce. Alongside trade acts, Congress grants authority to the executive branch to address “unusual and extraordinary” peacetime threats to national security, foreign policy, or the economy under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) of 1977.
  23. Unfortunately for you, the popularity of the current government continues to rise. The effort to cause the reshoring of many American jobs will likely continue, as businesses find that the best way to avoid tariffs is to manufacture in America.
  24. Oh, I'd say it's looking pretty solidly going in the right direction. We can take it up in 6 months and see what you think then. So far, the world has not fallen apart - and capitalism adjusts rapidly. Each country will act within it's own self interest, as certainly as Trump continues to restructure the US economy. Art of the Deal.
  25. Yes, I differentiate between the Palestinians and Hamas. Hamas is a terrorist organization that is the government of the Palestinians. Unfortunately, since the Palestinians elected Hamas and can not displace them - they screwed themselves. Moderates or any political opposition to Hamas are murdered. It doesn't diminish the joy & glee the thousands of cheering Palestinians showed for the killing of Israelis. It's clear they were fully behind Hamas at the beginning of the war, and perhaps now are regretting their support. What's clear is, as in the case of Mexico, the neighbor has to do something radical to protect their own citizens.
