Sad things is Ukraine was a nuclear armed nation in the 90s. Nuclear proliferation ain’t good for the world but it does serve you (an individual nation) well when confronting a bully superpower or regional power.
You'll never see another nation give up nukes after this.

That Fender Rhodes sound + the Vox Continental.I get both of these from a Yamaha MOXF6. On the Numa, I set an upper and lower manual to get the left hand bass. I should probably work up some Doors. The only thing I can play now is Soul Kitchen.
If you do some Doors' songs, you should post a recording. I'd like to hear it.
The Doors had that unique combination of a classically-trained pianist, a jazz-trained drummer, a flamenco-trained guitarist, and a non-musically trained lead singer!

If you are using TurboTax and need to download data from Schwab it works not. From talking with Turbotax and Schwab it was not clear whose problem it was, but I was finally able to do it yesterday.

Barbara Dennerlein. Plays the hammond organ with bass lines (with her feet). I saw her once live in a student club in the early 90's. I almost forgot about her until I searched in youtube. What an awesome musician and so glad she is still kicking.
The Doors didn't have a bass player, well not in concert. Ray Manzarek provided bass for the doors on his organ, but he did it with his left hand. On some songs on their albums they would have a bass player overdub Ray's bass.
On the album LA Women, Elvis Presley's bass player was on all the tracks.

Once Russia attacks the Ukraine, I think stocks are going to rally especially if the Fed uses it as an excuse to not raise interest rates after all. But who the hell knows.

@Spekulatius Yahoo Finance won't let me go back that far, to January 2006.
@Spekulatius You are right, it works. I was looking at a stock that was a spin out, so it wasn't trading back in 2006 and why Yahoo Finance wasn't showing any data.
Sorry, my error,
Thanks,
Mike

Type in the ticker and the specific date....and voila! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Only problem is that Jan 15, 2006 appears to be a Sunday.
Bill
Bill,
Yes that was the date of death, so I guess I have to go to January 13.
Thanks,
Mike

Problem solved, I can do it on Schwab.

I need to look up the prices for some stocks on January 15, 2006. This is the date my wife inherited some stocks that we sold this year. I am having trouble finding a site that will give historic prices more than 10 years ago.
Does anyone have a site where I can find this info?
TIA
Mike

Is anyone else having a problem with logging in to Schwab from TurboTax? I get the message, "Login is temporarily unavailable. Please try again or call customer support".
Edit: I had no problem with logging into Interactive Brokers and downloading data.

I held mine to expiration.
I'll check back on Wednesday/Thursday and if FB is still trading in this range probably write some Feb 11 expiration puts.
Wrote some 210-strike, Friday 2/11 expiration puts.
Edit: Didn't have the patience to wait till later in the week.

Speaking for myself. Parsad, I thank you for sponsoring this board to share valuable ideas and information. Whatever you need to do to keep the site operation is probably okay with me, as my tolerance for noise is fairly high and the signal level is sufficiently high enough to keep me coming back. Maybe there are other high roller out there that where every second lost can mean the difference of a few million lost. I find that long term investing is fairly tolerant in regards to timing and think that if we can weed out short term thinkers by adding more ads, I’d welcome that. Again, thanks for keeping this site operational. From rolling my own sites, I know this stuff is not cheap, time and resource wise and I hope others can appreciate that.
I want to second this and add my thank you Parsad.

From his "legendary" book Margin of Safety he even said index funds were a fad. I mean...it doesn't take much beyond some basic math skills that index funds will do better than the vast majority of alternatives. I mean, it speaks volumes of his character that the guy won't have the book republished. I mean, is he embarrassed of it, doesn't want to share his wisdom or is it that he just understands excellent marketing and it keeps up the mystique? None of those are good traits.
When I got a pdf copy of the book I started reading it with great anticipation. It has been a while so I don't remember much except that I was disappointed. I didn't see what all the fuss was about with this book.
