The Bloomberg app is decent. It's the only one I use. I mostly just use websites. FedEx just delivered our new iPads. Can't wait to play with them this weekend!

I'm curious to see how the big banks will react to the news. Anyone thinking of adding to BAC before the stress test results? -

I'm a little surprised the banks aren't up on the news. Then again they've been on fire leading up to this.

When NFLX started it's recent dive he was the first thing that popped into my mind. The NFLX situation definitely didn't improve my opinion of him. -
Losing weight - resurrecting the old thread
PLynchJr replied to shalab's topic in General Discussion
Not doing a "diet" really but I've been eating low carb after getting inspired by reading Gary Taubes about 7 months ago. I've lost about 43 pounds. Down from 225 to about 183. My blood pressure is great now. I feel incredibly better than I used to on a daily basis. -
I'd also be very interested in others take on this. Definitely not my area of expertise. I am building a new home that will be complete around November of this year. I could get a 270 day rate lock that is about 3/8ths higher than the current 30 year rates. Problem is the rate cannot float down if rates go lower and I'd have to make a non-refundable 1% deposit.

Berkowitz is one of 2 or 3 mutual fund managers I'd be happy investing with. Did you get a chance to listen to the conference call he did a few days ago? http://us.meeting-stream.com/fairholmecapitalmanagementllc_050911/

I actually read Taubes based on the thread here a few months ago so thanks! The book made perfect sense to me....really struck a cord. I don't have the energy to argue with people who still believe the conventional wisdom...I just know low carb works and I've never felt better. I've lost 30 pounds in 2 months. Down from 225 to 195. No exercise at all (not against it just very busy with newborn) and I never go hungry. I used to get heartburn all the time. Took Zantac daily. Completely gone now. No more stomach issues. No longer gassy. Just feel great. Blood pressure is way down. Haven't done blood work yet but I have no doubt it's improved.

Several "Plan A" stocks selling at 50% of IV? Please share. -
I agree. It can be tough to buy a cheap stock when just a little bit ago it was REALLY cheap. It's hard to avoid anchoring bias. For what its worth...if you are comfortable with the big banks they have not participated in the recent rally at all and are fighting another round of bad press.
