4.  Meditate.  I definitely need to look into this as I have heard that meditation increases self control.

 

Well, you left out the options strategies ;-)

 

But wrt Meditation I would encourage you to look at HRV training.  Here are a couple of interesting ted talks:

 

 

It's basically a biofeedback device that gives you some hard data on what the state of your biology is while you're meditating.  The problem with meditation in general is that it's very easy to do it 'wrong'.  With realtime data, it's a lot easier to get yourself into what's called a 'coherent' state.
