Phaceliacapital Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Guys, any of you who can point me towards essential reading material when trying to value financials, preferably from a value perspective? I have already planned to go through the BAC and Wells Fargo discussions but maybe there are some external links that you guys deem worthy to read? Thanks in advance!!
Guest deepValue Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'd suggest starting with a smaller, simpler bank. Here's a post by Geoff Gannon on valuing banks: http://www.gurufocus.com/news/88015/geoff-gannon-investor-questions-podcast-9-how-do-you-calculate-a-banks-intrinsic-value
bookie71 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Getthe annualreportsand 10 K's of several banks and start educating yourself. Pick the smaller banks as the big guys have too much other stuff in their reports.
