Crip1 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 "People pay $400,000 for a house, I pay $400,000 for a car" - Arrogant ba***rd. I loved the way this guy played baseball, eben though I was not a Mets or Phillies fan, but I really have little patience for arrogance and lying/cheating/stealing. Now I understand that he is innocent until broven guilty, but declaring bankruptcy and being the subject of what looks to be a boatload of lawssuits does not suggest anything less than lying/cheating/stealing. You get what you have coming to you... -Crip
Carvel46 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Indeed Crip1! I don't know the full story, but hubris & haste may have worked in Baseball but it doesn't work in investing.
Partner24 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 This sad story, if true, underline two important things: - Try to live under your means - Be truly financialy independant and sound is far more important than to look wealthy
brker_guy Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 I will add another one to that lis Partner24: -Have some humility in life. It goes a long way
