Someone had mentioned Markels' earnings being released in the FFH thread. Yet they don't seem to have been released yet, even though it appears that they were to be released before market open today. Was the release date wrong or have they delayed releasing.

Yeah, earnings are due today before market opening.

They will be probably released after market close today because their conference call is tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m.

On the surface  it seems like pretty impressive results, but I'm sure I'm missing something and the market will bring them down tomorrow. :)

If anyone is looking to purchase MKL, read the conference call transcripts. Very impressive organization; I can see why they trade at a premium to book. MKL should perform very well over the long term (next year is a crap shoot for all insurers).
