LowIQinvestor Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 What does it cost annually to maintain an OTC public listing? Trying to figure out at what market cap does it simply become uneconomical to maintain. What other costs are incurred as a listed microcap company? Thanks!
valuedontlie Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I have a friend with a public shell on OTCQB and he indicated it is costing him about ~$15k per quarter. This includes $10k annually to OTC Markets. A "cheap" audit will cost $40-60k I believe.
Tim Eriksen Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Yep and probably add to that other costs to be public - board of directors fees and travel, D&O insurance, audit costs, legal costs, SEC filing costs if you are subject, annual meeting costs, transfer agent costs, franchise taxes, more expensive CFO, plus management time and effort.
Hielko Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Most companies that I see that do for example a reverse split to go dark cite annual costs around half a million/year for being public. Some a bit less, some a bit more.
JayGatsby Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Not to sidetrack the conversation, but what's the incremental cost to list on the Nasdaq? Reason I ask is a company I'm invested in (TWOC) is traded OTC but may be getting close to the point where they're able to move to Nasdaq and get some more exposure ($56M market cap currently).
