Liberty Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 [amazonsearch]Double Your Profits: In Six Months or Less[/amazonsearch] Got this in the mail today. Haven't read it yet, but I expect it to be interesting. It's the book that the 3G people (Buffett's partners in the Heinz deal) hand out to everybody to explain their cost-cutting strategy, apparently. I know, not the best title. But hey, Greenblatt's You Can Be a Stock Market Genius doesn't have the best title either ;)
Gopinath Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I really liked it.. easy to read.. Some ideas are very implementable in any business!
ScottHall Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I read this over the course of two days. I really enjoyed it. I would absolutely recommend it, and I like the focus on strategic costs vs. non-strategic costs.
giofranchi Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I read one step each morning... over and over again. ;) Gio
Liberty Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 More or less about the book: http://brooklyninvestor.blogspot.ca/2015/03/zero-based-budgeting-book.html
dabuff Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 It is one of the highest-yield books you can read on management. If you run a business yourself, you'll actually be able to implement some of these changes immediately. It is one of those books that pays for itself many times over.
bigbluffzinc Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 One of the books that made it to my list of re-reading... The title is misleading and almost led to my not picking it up.. The reviews in this chat saved me from that mistake :)
JayGatsby Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Really liked this book. Kind of in the category of Greenblatt's You Can be a Stock Market Genius; hyperbole title with the substance to back it up. Think it has areas that are applicable to pretty much everyone. Has anyone read a book specific to 3G? That's how I came across this. There's a few on Amazon but no clear leader.

Few good parts but most of it is just OK.
dabuff Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Has anyone read Fifer's other book, The Enlightened CEO?
