LC Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Does anyone know of public (free) tools to get a quick glance at the equity prices globally? Pretty much as a way to zone-in on countries where good prices might exist for stable businesses. TIA! LC
writser Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Not sure where to find recent data, but have you seen this topic? Might be a starting point: http://www.cornerofberkshireandfairfax.ca/forum/general-discussion/shiller-pe-by-country/msg106454/?topicseen#msg106454
mcliu Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 FT has pretty good data sets. http://markets.ft.com/RESEARCH/markets/DataArchiveFetchReport?Category=EQ&Type=RAT&Date=01/23/2014
Guest ajc Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Gurufocus does implied future returns for about 20 global indices: http://www.gurufocus.com/global-market-valuation.php And, Aswath Damodaran blogged on this subject in July 2013 (http://aswathdamodaran.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/market-multiples-global-comparison-and.html). I'm not sure if he would do it every year, but he already updates other data annually (http://aswathdamodaran.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/numbers-time-data-update-for-2014.html) if that's anything to go by. I guess it's possible that his global valuation maps will also get re-rated sometime during 2014.
