  1. Francis Chou's Q2 13-F is out. Somewhat more activity this quarter. He bought Davita, Spirit Airlines, Resolute Forest Products calls, and Allegiant Travel. Sold out of Sandridge. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=8456&fC=1
  2. I didn't realize the magnitude, but looking at his 13-F now it looks like he almost doubled the stake in Vista Outdoor. Obviously the portfolio here is dominated by St Joe though. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=375&fC=1
  3. Yeah, you're correct. For some reason I thought the merger closed in July but I just checked at it was mid-June, before the end of the quarter.
  4. Baupost's Q2 13-F is out. Still a small position in the context of the whole portfolio, but Klarman continues to pile into Tesla debt, buying another $200 million worth. Could be a sign they're shorting the stock, but unfortunately they aren't obligated to disclose short positions. Also continued adding to Fox and sold out of Time Warner. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=376&fC=1
  5. Brave Warrior's Q2 13-F is out. Looks like he sold out of Brookfield Asset Management and bought Express Scripts (again). http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=232548&fC=1
  6. Pabrai continues to sell his US holdings. He sold out of Alphabet, Southwest Airlines, and AerCap. No change to his Fiat or Ferrari positions though. I'm guessing he's raising cash for some of his international investments. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=228541&fC=1
  7. Baupost's Q1 13-F is out. Don't think you can read too much into it, but it's interesting to see that they took a $50 million position in Tesla debt. They added to a number of their larger positions like Fox, Pioneer Natural, and Keryx Biopharmaceuticals. And they sold out of Express Scripts. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=376&fC=1
  8. Lou's Q1 13-F is out. He just took a huge stake in Carmax this quarter, making it his 4th largest position. This is a big position for Sequoia, Akre, Markel, Broad Run, and Giverny as well. He also added to a few of his top holdings. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=228763&fC=1
  9. Altarock Partners' Q1 13-F is out. These guys are extremely concentrated and there tends not to be major changes from quarter to quarter. The biggest change this quarter was a meaningful increase in the Charter Communications position. They continued trimming their stake in Transdigm and added to Booking.com once again, which remains the largest position at 24% of invested assets. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=263820&fC=1
  10. Arlington Value's Q1 13-F is out. They bought Molson Coors again and significantly increased their position in Alliance Data. It looks like they are continuing to reduce their Cimpress position into share price strength, but with the per share value climbing the sales are hardly putting a dent in the value of the position -- Cimpress is a staggering 19% of US invested assets. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=256421&fC=1
  11. Chuck Akre's Q1 13-F is out. He bought KKR & Co, added to American Tower, Alarm.com, and a few others. American Tower was already his largest position, and is now up to a 13% weight. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=373&fC=1
  12. Give Rocket a try for tracking portfolios and watch lists: http://www.rocketfinancial.com In addition to the portfolio tracker it has a ton of other features that you might find useful like detailed financials, SEC filings, email alerts, a stock screener, institutional holdings, etc.
  13. Sequoia's Q4 13-F is out. You can see some of the details of their transformation with increases in a number of internet-based businesses (AMZN, GOOGL, W, JD) and decreases in a number of their longer-held positions: http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=370&fC=1
  14. Gardner, Russo & Gardner's Q4 13-F is out and they are reporting over 100 new positions(!). Now these are all tiny, so perhaps they are essentially tracking positions, but it certainly seems to be a list of companies that might be worth searching through: http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=386&fC=1
  15. Glenn Greenberg's Q4 13-F is out now. He bought Alphabet and Express Scripts and sold out of Axalta Coating Systems. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=232548&fC=1
  16. Berkshire's Q4 13-F is out. They bought Teva Pharmaceutical (is this Ted or Todd?) and sold the vast majority of what was left of the IBM position. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=1058&fC=1
  17. Pat Dorsey does indeed file 13-Fs and his one for Q4 is out. He bought SiteOne Landscape Supply and added to Facebook, Chegg, Cimpress, Dollar General, Alphabet, Roper Technologies, Workiva, and Yelp. And it looks like he funded those purchases in part by selling his stake in Descartes Systems Group. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=349360&fC=1
  18. Lou's Q4 13-F is out.. He's all over the cable operators, taking stakes in Charter and Liberty Broadband as well as increasing his Cable One position: http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=228763&fC=1
  19. Baupost's Q4 13-F is out. Bought Time Warner and added to Fox, Cardinal Health, McKesson, AMC Entertainment, among others. Sold out of Dell Technologies. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=376&fC=1
  20. Interesting that Mohnish sold some AerCap. He had been steadily accumulating shares of AER for several quarters: http://www.rocketfinancial.com/OwnHist.aspx?sID=2510&fID=228541 That said, the stock price has also been trending higher, so perhaps it was starting to get close to his estimate of intrinsic value.
  21. Arlington Value's Q4 13-F is out. They added to Advance Auto Parts, Alliance Data, Rent-A-Center, and Munro Muffler Brake. Sold out of Foot Locker, Molson Coors, and Valmont. http://www.rocketfinancial.com/Holdings.aspx?id=256421&fC=1
  22. http://www.rocketfinancial.com has significantly more history and detail for the financial statements than Google Finance ever had. Even allows you to toggle the statements to an "As Reported" format so that you can see the exact line items that the company used.
  23. Form 13-F only requires the disclosure of US securities -- which would exclude Fairfax.
  24. I was going to comment on this too. It looks like they sold 21 million shares after the exercise. It will be interesting to see if they continued selling in Q4 when that comes out three months from now.
  25. Jurgis, I was thinking the same thing. I think it's a sign of the times. The market is frothy, and under Berkshire T&T have the luxury of being able to sit on their hands.
