  1. That's the thing. If the alternative is doing the work yourself, then I think history has shown us that people won't do it. I think that if Moody does the minimum to show that its aware of past problems and working to improve things, they'll stick around for a long time. But I'm not expert in that field, just my best guess.
  2. Thanks for the reminder. That one is definitely on my list, but I'll bump it up!
  3. [amazonsearch]The AIG Story[/amazonsearch] Has anyone here read it yet? Thoughts?
  4. I posted it quickly because it's about Buffett and figured maybe it could lead to some interesting discussion about that holding, but I agree that the move in the stock price itself doesn't mean much. I'm sure the only thing Buffett is thinking about is whether there's a permanent change in the business' intrinsic value or not.

  8. Thanks! At first I thought it was all going to be old footage. Good to see all these old schoolers!
  9. Can you be more explicit? Do you mean because he's in contact with MBIA and BAC management? Something else?
  10. Or they are better prepared for it than competitors and think it can lead to a harder market over time? More than one way to make it work.

  12. I think just adding (spinoff) or (special situation) in parenthesis at the end of the subject line on the existing board should make things pretty clear and user friendly.
  13. One of my favorite companies, I own a lot of it and plan to hold it for many years at minimum. Recent interviews with the CEO Fred Davidson about both EGD and IPT: http://classicvalueinvestors.com/i/2013/01/interview-with-fred-davidson-from-energold-drilling-and-impact-silver/
  14. Didn't know about that, very clever! Thanks for sharing.
