  1. Eve Low, but the context where politicians have to kneel down to Bitcoin to gain traction is interesting. That said, I didn't like this conference until now, but Snowden's speech is gold, or better said, digital gold.
  2. No idea, but more broadly, the path is already on track to a series of currencies backed by Bitcoin as hard money. Most people repeat the same mantra against Bitcoin and don't realize that many things have already happened but are somewhat hidden by a fog curtain.
  3. Tether is one of the largest holders of US Treasury bonds, currently ranking as the 22nd largest holder, surpassing countries like Australia, Spain, and Mexico. Tether has also been increasing its Bitcoin holdings as collateral for its stablecoin, USDT, which operates on the Ethereum blockchain as a smart contract.Proof of Work has unique characteristics, and Bitcoin, especially, has the largest network among PoW infrastructures. It is neutral and global, and its scarcity ensures value in transferring data through cyberspace. Despite its opcode limitations preventing Turing complete scripts, Bitcoin is an ideal asset linked to physical energy, serving as a reserve and collateral. Collateralizing currency with a hard asset is both inevitable and cyclical. Bitcoin, being a digital native asset, is the best candidate for this role. The USD is already collateralized by Bitcoin.
  4. Governments entered the chat, as expected. The prophecy is just fulfilling.
  5. The competitive nature of Bitcoin fascinates me. An evoltutive being.
  6. Thank you for the clarification; it makes things even more fascinating given the fact that China banned cryptocurrencies a long time ago. It looks like gaining control over the timechain of truth has some value for them.
  7. "Clashing antlers together to establish a physical power-based resource control hierarchy seems unnecessary. The unnecessarily large structure of antlers looks like a waste of keratin. Why burn so many calories carrying around the weight of that much extra keratin, and waste more energy clanging them together? What could possibly be the point of such an energy inefficient-looking design? 115It would be tragic to condemn antlers for their inefficiency and waste because the intent of the design is quite noble: the preservation of life." Lowery J.
  8. I get the irony. Unfortunately, sometimes irony is a distraction. Given Lowery's involvement, it makes much sense. His MIT thesis is compelling and one of the most informed pieces of content I have read in recent years (thank you @rkbabang. Antpool is one of the largest mining rigs and it was founded by Bitmain, a Chinese company, and it is still located in Beijing (the same China which banned cryptos). Bitcoin is a timechain, and gaining control over it could become part of a strategic move to get control over a precious resource or to prevent the enemy from gaining control over it.
  9. Antpool Based in Beijing, China. The hash war has already started.
  10. Providing wealthy individuals with an ark floating on enough liquidity to escape the fiscal trap, sailing towards Galt's Gulch.
  11. Tether is the 19th largest holder of US Treasuries, and USDT operates on the Ethereum VM. They regularly reinvest their profits in Bitcoin. The US might face some trouble if the blockchain were to disappear tomorrow. There is a game theory at play in converting the old and unreliable US debt protocol for value into a fully digital money protocol for value. It's a checkmate situation, and someone's denial does not change the facts. Separating money from the state is never thought to be an easy task; it takes time.
  12. Provoking thought. What if, in a world where net producers are accumulating gold and selling USD debt, you invent an alternative to gold and convince the Western hemisphere through greed incentives to shift to it? This way, you prevent people from supporting the price of something you can no longer afford, creating a more compelling alternative.

  15. Unfortunately, Bitcoin's success has also brought a lot of noise. This article is amazing, and unfortunately, a serendipitous mistake prevented me from accessing this resource earlier. As @james22 said, demonstrating this level of understanding and conviction is not trivial and required many hours of learning. Otherwise, my friends, coworkers, and classmates would have been wealthier instead of being overly indebted. I am still convinced that, because of this lack of understanding, many people are missing the opportunity once again. Many discussions I've read about Bitcoin in the last few years have been less straightforward and polluted with the consequences of adoption, making it not that simple to understand where the truth lies. However, the truth itself is simple. “You can recognise truth by its beauty and simplicity” Richard Feynman The first tweet by Saylor about Bitcoin was notorious
  16. Buying and, above all, "holding" Bitcoin is not just an IQ test for individuals but also for countries. It represents a wealth transfer, as has occurred many times in history, usually from the old aristocrats to the new, technologically savvy aristocrats. Moreover, it requires a good dose of courage to invest a significant amount of personal wealth.
