American companies that will benefit from tariffs?

I think you're onto something. We could single handedly revive Jack in the Box. They might need a liquor license though. -

Bhutan is relatively expensive. The Bhutanese government requires a minimum spend for tourists ($100 per night per person). You are no longer required to book through a Bhutanese travel agent, however you will get recommendations for guides, etc., as a part of the VISA application. All of this is an effort to minimize the impact of trash tourism. https://bhutan.travel When the NWFL humidity rolls in, I'm outta here. Until then, I'm going to enjoy the beautiful climate we have. === There's nothing in Thailand for me, except a whole lot of really nice, poor people who are getting beat down by filth. I don't think I'll ever go back except maybe as a stopover to spend a few days and visit some friends in Bangkok. -

Speaking of ignoring people. https://www.inc.com/bill-murphy-jr/warren-buffett-never-mentioned-these-13-words-in-the-latest-berkshire-hathaway-shareholder-letter-and-i-think-i-know-why/91154184 edit: I put this here because I didn't want to risk problems in any of the Berkshire threads. I hope it doesn't cause problems here. Just seemed appropriate.

I hope it gets super expensive in my neighborhood. Not so expensive that I can't find a buyer but, yeah. I think I could find somewhere to stay until things cool down. -

Anything better than Charles Schwab?

I have a zero balance at an old Schwab account but they still let me dip in and download reports that Fidelity doesn't carry. -

The Thai's recently did just that (shut off the power) for areas just across the border into Myanmar. They did it for different reasons. They said there's a lot of online grifters who are operating in these areas and they cut off the power and the flow of gasoline. Obviously a conflation of unrelated events, but... https://apnews.com/article/thailand-myanmar-scam-electricity-cut-0cfdfb57aa2e05e5835b1af3b4ac8e1a -
I just added a tiny sliver of BRK.B (19.2% => 19.25%) with the idea that my purchase might lead to a big rip down (or just a slow steady decline). Don't see adding more without a decline. FWIW, I just read through, and and probably don't understand a single word of it, but am under the delusion that I do. === P.S. (aka: edit) I use market orders all the time now so I'm basically a dumbass.

edit: OK, so seriously. Now I'm just gonna block this gentleman and the extra account he's created that gives the illusion that SOMEONE is seriously interacting with this spam, and be done with it. Does anyone know how to block or ignore a thread(s)?

Would I be correct in saying this doesn't resemble value investing, GARP or even momo, in any way shape or form? Asking for a friend.

You heard anger as an echo of your own and nothing more. Do not imagine yourself a spider to the fly, when you are in fact a Grasshopper being gently shooed away.

That's a very nice way of putting it. Clear as an opening bell. I keep having to edit because I forget the emoji:

I don't think you understand idiomatic English. Read the room basically means, NOBODY IS INTERESTED. TALK ABOUT THINGS THAT PEOPLE IN THE ROOM ARE INTERESTED IN. I can make the type font larger if that will make the meaning clearer.
