Yep. The customer service rep who replied to me said that: "Due to several journal entries and transactions related to the split, it's an industry standard to charge the fee." WTF! Since when is a stock split, hard to process. Every B share went from 1 to 50 shares. It's not like I owned BNI and was taking some A shares, the rest in B shares and the remainder in cash! Time to move my accounts. >:(

It's the broker that uses the babies in it's commercials. >:(

Was going over/reviewing my online statement and noticed that there was a fee for the Berk B split? I've contacted customer service and have begun talks with them. I'd be interested to know who else has seen this? I know it's not widespread and varies from broker to broker.

That, and he only buys companies that are within his Circle of Competence. Where the stock market is heading or acting is not within that circle. He feels that he has a good grasp on the earnings stream that BNSF can provide.

But, let's remember their specialty is the winter games. You're competing against them in their national pastime. Hockey, curling, etc. They did have an impressive olympic performance, but what will they be doing this summer when the rest of us are cheering for our country in the World Cup?! ;)

I agree. The hockey that's been played at these olympics have been spectacular. The gold medal match last night was one for the ages.
