  1. This is 100% awesome. Now I just need to dig out my voting mail.
  2. Winnipeg honey Dill sauce? Winnipeg Fatboy style burgers?
  3. That made me lol as they do go back.
  4. Fairfax has a private Vimeo account? What the heck
  5. I came across this tonight https://globalnews.ca/news/11624209/toys-r-us-canada-unpaid-rent/ "Toys “R” Us Canada is facing at least seven lawsuits from landlords who say they’re collectively owed $31.3 million in unpaid rent and other damages from the struggling retailer." Remembered that FFH had bought them out of bankruptcy and then sold them to Putman. Did a bit of Gemini'ing. It seems to think that FFH retained some of the relestate however FFH does not seem to be part of the lawsuits. Apparently Everest Toys (Owned by Putman) went into bankruptcy in August 2025 which didn't help Toys To US. Wondering if FFH moved on before the drama? Gemini didn't seem to know.
  6. Foran is up YTD. Down today. If you believe Gemini
  7. Gemini says: Share Class Shares Held Price (Jan 21, 2026) Market Value Class A (UAA) 41,958,923 $6.15 ~$258.0 million Class C (UA) 18,064,622 $5.96 ~$107.7 million Total Combined 60,023,545 — ~$365.7 million
  8. It seems that this has passed, for now (today?).
  9. That somewhat reminds me of The Brick and Leon's deal FFH did 13 years ago.
  10. There were no ums and ahhh... No real pauses. It sure seems like this message board was the source of the convo.
  11. Probably everyone here knows this but just in case. Sure wish Ensign Energy had the same deal. From September: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/government-of-saskatchewan-to-support-development-of-mci-1.7631913 "Prime Minister Mark Carney has unveiled the list of five projects that he's recommending for approval by the federal government's newly created major project office (MPO), and a copper mine in northern Saskatchewan is one of them."
  12. I squeelled inside when I read that. You made my day!
  13. I have too much of it. Wish I had the stones to trade some in, then out and then repeat.
  14. The McIlvenna Bay Foran Copper Mine Project in Saskatchewan. From this years FFH Annual Report I would have expected more movement on the Foran stock price today. MR Market has different priorities.
  15. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/carney-major-projects-list-1.7630470
  16. Looks to be an all time high with an all time high close today at $2511.00CAD
  17. Going to break into top 20 at some point. All time high today. Up 24.95% YTD. Yoga pants is 34.
  18. One more thing, I asked chatgpt when Fairfax would hit $1T market cap based on the 18% CAGR. It said "Fairfax Financial would reach a $1 trillion CAD market capitalization in approximately 18.3 years, around the year 2043." "the stock price would be approximately CAD 46,134.17 when the market cap reaches $1 trillion CAD." Again, this is all for my enjoyment!
  19. It's been a long road for me as a long term shareholder since 2000. I remember Jan 21, 2003 and the Morgan Keagan report! Anyway, I have been thinking of the future stock price based on the comments in the 2024 Annual Report So I decided the play with chatGPT. This is just for fun. ==== Here is the updated projection for Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (2025–2034) using a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 18%, applied to both market capitalization and stock price from the 2024 base values: 2024 Market Cap (Base): CAD 43.91 billion 2024 Stock Price (Base): CAD 2,000.00 Projected Market Capitalization and Stock Price (2025–2034, CAGR = 18%) Year Projected Market Cap (CAD) Projected Stock Price (CAD) 2025 $51.81 billion $2,360.00 2026 $61.14 billion $2,784.80 2027 $72.14 billion $3,285.06 2028 $85.12 billion $3,874.37 2029 $100.44 billion $4,573.76 2030 $118.52 billion $5,398.03 2031 $139.85 billion $6,369.68 2032 $165.02 billion $7,515.22 2033 $194.73 billion $8,865.96 2034 $229.78 billion $10,463.83 Assumptions CAGR: 18% applied annually. Share Count: Assumed constant. Model: Exponential growth model using the formula: Future Value=Base Value×(1+CAGR)n\text{Future Value} = \text{Base Value} \times (1 + \text{CAGR})^{n} ==== We shall see how accurate it will be! To me, this seems wild. Sure, I have been asleep at the switch but the work that they have done since 1985 and the work required to keep it up is mind boggling.
  20. I need <insert person> in a bubble bath explaining the TRS in a simplistic way. I still don't get it. Almost seems like a reverse credit default swap as silly as that sounds.
  21. Next Up, Manulife?
  22. Looks like FFH surpassed yoga pants. I'm not sure if it happened today or another day
  23. I didn't vote BUT it got me thinking how many talented individuals are working at FFH to deliver on the above home runs. Congrats Team FFH!
  24. https://www.marketbeat.com/instant-alerts/fairfax-financial-holdings-ltd-can-makes-new-12174-million-investment-in-cvs-health-co-nysecvs-2025-05-09/ Purchase price looks to be $44.89/share. Current price is $61.57 and a 52 week range of $43.56 - $72.51 I hope my numbers are right!
