  1. And when you talk to partisan lunatics about separation of powers granted to the executive branch - don't expect anything resembling an intelligent response.
  2. Hilarious: Turns out, her boss, Labor Secretary Chavez wanted her fired. Too funny. I suppose the Secretary of Labor has no say in who is best to run the BLS.... “I agree wholeheartedly with @POTUS that our jobs numbers must be fair, accurate, and never manipulated for political purposes,” Chavez-DeRemer wrote “A recent string of major revisions have come to light and raised concerns about decisions being made by the Biden-appointed Labor Commissioner,” she continued. “I support the President’s decision to replace Biden’s Commissioner and ensure the American People can trust the important and influential data coming from BLS.”
  3. You obviously have no idea how the Executive Branch of Government works: The President is elected to build his team of trusted advisors. So he dismissed someone he doesn't like or doesn't trust. Big deal. This is a President that was elected to CHANGE things in DC. Sorry you don't like it.
  4. Let's see if I understand this: - BLS does a lousy job and constantly has to revise their numbers - Basically, they are not very good at their job - Therefore, we should keep the Commissioner around and refuse to let POTUS improve the management Right,,,, that's how a loser thinks.
  5. That's why you replace the person in charge: you don't trust them since they are never accurate.
  6. I love it when you make shit up. Yup - it's a real disaster now...... Unfortunately for you - your loser TDS crowd doesn't have one ounce of political power anymore. So keep yapping about Epstein and the dictator. It's all you got brother.
  7. That is a dumb comment - as usual with your dictator nonsense. She is appointed by the President as part of his staff - and the President deserves to appoint only those people that he has complete confidence in. It's a tough pill to swallow when you ain't in charge @dwy000
  8. The BLS Commissioner is a POLITICAL APPOINTEE - why would you care? She is part of the Executive branch - and if the President doesn't have confidence in her - she's gone. Make a big deal out of nothing.
  9. You should be shaking in your boots - market is down 3% from it's alltime high! Trump is out to destroy the American economy! LOL
  10. He's a clever soul that Change. Gotta love him. Trump changes his mind on Russia, cutting his deadline to 10 days instead of 50. He's pretty clear about it - Putin is not serious about any peace deal. So what to you do? A smart/serious person would cut the deadline and bring speed up the process. Change is a wonderful spin master!
  11. Yeah , he's terrified. I saw him shaking at today's press conference.
  12. Oh shit, now what - no collapse?? Gross domestic product grew at an annualized pace of 3% in the second quarter, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis's advance estimate. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg had expected a 2.6% increase.
  13. You, Putin and President Xi can laugh all you want. The Ayatollah ain't laughing.
  14. Damn - I think I'm going to blow my brains out. Sounds like we're all gonna die! And, yes, it would be far preferable if Congress codifies the tariffs. But of course, we all know that Congress has maybe a 20% favorability rating, precisely because they usually do NOTHING about difficult issues. Thank goodness we have a President with equal power. You may understand the legal issues better than me - we will see how good Trump's legal advisers are - becuase they have been pretty damn good thus far.
  15. I'm obviously a dummy, I thought Alleghany was strictly P&C, Reinsurance. Much appreciated.
  16. Dude - you really love that cult stuff, don't you, especially when the cult is kicking ass. Better get used to it.
  17. GFP - I've been wondering about this myself. The energy needs are self evident- although the slide you provided really hits home. I'm not sure I understand your inference on Afco/W&W - is Berkshire's contribution to the projects beyond energy? Thanks
  18. We all know there are many non-tariff based barriers that block US imports into other countries. Now with US tariffs, they get a taste of their own medicine - and, of course, they can't stand ti.
  19. Now there's a good post. Better to have a do-something executive, than the worthless do-nothing Presidents we've had that kick the can to the next administration. We are gonna see how it all works out and adjust from there. I think where you are wrong: There is little chance Trump is exceeding his constitutional authority - he has excellent advisors. IF you look at some of the Supreme Court rulings - I believe he has been reversed only 3 or 4 times of the 18 or 20 challenges that have appeared before the courts (of his executive orders) since his flurry of executive orders beginning in January.
  20. Exactly. When you have a strong leader that can make bold decisions on his own - he has to own them. That's why Trump was elected - we're sick of weak leaders and their "expert advisers".
  21. Ah, yes, more doom & gloom predictions....the USA is going down!
  22. What Trump has done to fix this country is beyond amazing. Both the RINOs and the Democrats look like total fools now. It's such a good thing to have a true populist in the White House after so many phonies that ended up part of the DC swamp. Restores my faith in leadership.
  23. Just think: No economic collapse, no runaway inflation, no catastrophic unemployment, no stock market correction... Nope: just Art of the Deal!
  24. I love it when I'm wrong about Trump! Looks like the EU knows how to make good deals!
  25. Agreed - getting the EU to make a decision is like herding cats. Highly unlikely.
