  1. Thank you. We owe this wonderful institution to you and the strong relationships you built over the years! Less than a quarter of tickets remaining with just over two weeks to go. As always we will have surprise unnamed speakers and guests, plus some exciting Fairfax related auction items and auction items related to major league sports. Think MLB, PGA, etc. Register here: https://2026_COBF-FFH_Shareholder_Dinner.eventbrite.com
  2. Tickets are available for the CoB&F-FFH Shareholder Dinner and are going fast details here: https://2026_COBF-FFH_Shareholder_Dinner.eventbrite.com
  3. Only a few tickets left and selling fast for the FFH CoB&F Dinner this year. Get your tickets now before we sell out or the price increases. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/16th-annual-fairfax-financial-shareholder-cobf-dinner-tickets-1287505446449?aff=oddtdtcreator Lots to celebrate this year, including Fairfax's 40th Anniversary! Hope to see you there. Once we sell out, Eventbrite will automatically run a waiting list, so if you're late buying tickets be sure to get on the waitlist. A couple of people were able to come off the waiting list last year.
  4. NormR's event page has been complete for a while, but I heard that some people missed that registration is open for The Ben Graham Dinner on Tuesday night. Events Page link here. Wednesday night's Fairfax Financial Shareholder CoB&F dinner is on its way to selling out again with less than a third of tickets remaining after a couple of days of registration. Be sure to register now to get your spot. Registration link here.
  5. One easy way to get a copy at a reasonable price, is to sign up for the Fairfax Dinner and bid on a signed copy from Prem. There will be multiple copies available. Proceeds to benefit Crohn's and Colitis Canada. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/16th-annual-cobf-fairfax-financial-shareholder-dinner-tickets-1287505446449?aff=oddtdtcreator Plus good food, good company, and great speakers as in previous years.
  6. I forgot to add that as a first timer from CoB&F, the FFH events are much easier to "find your tribe" and have a great schedule of events compared to the BRK meeting. NormR does a great job of compiling the schedule. At Fairfax, this is not an option among potential schedules, it's really THE SCHEDULE. The organizers try to avoid conflicts and this year there is only one time conflict (between Helios and YYX Toronto Value) where you will have to make a decision. That makes it super easy for a first time attendee to go to Fairfax Week, and be absolutely blown away by the experience. At BRK, a first time attendee is likely to have a list of what they would do differently the next time. Though both are great, if you want to meet a ton of people from CoB&F, FFH is better and easier. All three of the dinners will have a lot of attendees who are CoB&F members.
  7. Yes, the vibe is different. Both are wonderful. Fairfax is smaller, but the if you attend the events NormR has posted you will likely find that most everyone you run in to will be extremely knowledgeable and serious, and the events are all first rate. There are tons of smart capable investors and business people at Berkshire, but its just so large and there are so many people who are there for the party. At Fairfax, its smaller, but very high quality throughout. Yes you might bump it to someone who is just there at the Fairfax AGM because they heard the Keg was providing free food samples, but that is rare. Prem and Fairfax are famous to people "in the know", Buffett is just plain old famous. FFH being held downtown in a major financial center your also more likely to find yourself at events that are higher cost or where you might feel more comfortable in business attire. Aside from that, there are many people who attend both, and much will feel familiar. Also, depending on where you are coming from Toronto can be super easy to get to compared to Omaha. Toronto is served by two easily accessible international airports. Omaha is much more of a challenge for many people to get to. I hope that's helpful.
  8. Registration for the 16th Annual Fairfax Financial Shareholder CoB&F Dinner is now open. We are excited to be back in the Ritz-Carlton Toronto for the first time since Sanjeev organized the dinner at the Ritz in 2019. Best of all its a convenient location for our honored guests and panelists, since most of the Fairfax events will be held in the Ritz-Carlton. For those of you who were there last year, we have a more spacious room than last year and a plated three course dinner that looks delicious. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Last year the dinner sold out in just a few days and there were people on the waiting list that could not get in. Be sure to sign up early! Here's a compilation of Fairfax Week events.
