  1. Past hour
  2. They did that in a couple of soccer leagues around the world, but the stretcher guys kept dropping the players! This guy actually looked like he was hurt...probably was worse after thanks to the stretcher guys! Cheers!
  3. I was discussing the point about fraud and ordering other people's birth certificates. Yeah of course, you can order your own bc.
  4. Because they are interfering...doesn't mean they succeeded. Same with Trump...he's welcome to go after anyone who does the same. It's just that the fraud so far has not worked. This is nothing new...foreign governments like China have been trying to influence elections and policy through Chinese nationals who have Canadian citizenship. The same is certainly happening in the U.S. and other countries...just like the U.S. and British have done the same thing over the last 80 years! Cheers!
  5. The 18 states memo does refer to PII, but PII is a broad category. A person’s name and home address are PII. So are Social Security numbers and passwords. The memo itself doesn’t appear to specify the latter. So if you’re saying these documents show that China hacked state election databases containing Social Security numbers, passwords, or login IDs, could you point me to the specific document and page? That would be a much stronger claim than what I’m seeing in the released summaries and memos. That same memo states their goal was to conduct public opinion analysis. This is exactly what the Spectator piece was warning about. China is harvesting huge amounts of demographics to fuel AI and target us with social media manipulation. They gathered public voter files to map out American society. It’s an information warfare threat, not a technical hack of our voting infrastructure.
  6. But Biden criminally charged both Russia and Iran for influence Federal Elections. Then he expelled their diplomats.
  7. If that is the case, then why did the Biden administration blow a gasket and criminally charge both Russia and Iran with election interference? Why did Biden expel 10-20 Russian officials from the country for election interference? Why would Biden make such a big deal about election interference - but President Trump should say absolutely nothing?
  8. Not fair to dismiss him just because you don't like what he is saying. You are perfectly welcome to ignore him. Cheers!
  9. No, he doesn't just lie...he also tries to squeeze himself into World Cup championship trophy ceremony photos! The man has no shame...no shame at all...even when the FIFA President tried to guide him off the stage, he completely ignored him! Hilarious! Cheers! https://www.instagram.com/reel/Da_i79PNPxN/
  10. Why is it that the State of Texas says you are wrong. From their website --- It's free for elections. https://www.dshs.texas.gov/vital-statistics/birth-records/birth-certificate-election-identification Birth Certificate for Election Identification: Obtaining your birth record to apply for an Election Identification Certificate (EIC) from the Texas Department of Public Safety is easy and free.
  11. The fact is, that no outside country was able to actually manipulate the elections in any scale to change any outcome. Vulnerabilities are there, just like they are there in Defense, Energy, Financial Systems and Communications. Cheers! https://abcnews.com/US/declassified-documents-touted-trump-election-systems-difficult-manipulate/story?id=134848184
  12. +1! Cheers!
  13. Perhaps, that's true. But the fact remains, very little fraud has occurred in the U.S. If anything, people are taking advantage of loopholes...but how is that different than paid lobbyists pushing agendas...or Presidents and politicians not paying taxes? Cheers!
  14. I know I said I wouldn't do the homework for you, but for the peanut gallery: Texas law prohibits release of confidential data (birth certificates in this case), and their dept of health enforces it. Try and request a BC in Texas, the 2nd question is to prove your identity/relationship. Same in Florida. And its the same across the majority of states, red and blue. I guess a few decades ago, our state senators across both parties had some brain function remaining!
  15. Sure, and Al Gore invented the internet and there are zero Canadian billionaires. I think you're taking my point too far and making some assumptions and generalizations about what drove those accomplishments (and I'm sure I would agree with most of them). You're describing modern day America for a lot of people. Put it this way: on one hand we love to say we have a better mousetrap and point to the successes of a pro-capitalism society, and on the other hand (and despite these so-claimed advantages) we have the same percentage of citizens in poverty, as our Canadian brothers.
  16. Today
  17. Interesting trade-off--giving away USA innovation seems pretty selfish to me. You prefer hundreds of millions to die of starvation and be stunted by malnutrition because of lack of food production innovation. You prefer a crushing reduction in life expectancy and devastating crippling injuries that would otherwise have been addressed by American medical innovations. You'd prefer not to have the Internet, smart phones, and such things that enable the sharing of knowledge and bringing people together. That said, maybe you're right. As long as you're upper middle class or higher, people starving won't impact your day. Maybe you and your family won't get cancer or need knee replacements or whatever, and you're rich enough to pay for the education needed to acquire the knowledge for creating a productive and happy life. So, if you discount the outcomes on everyone else on the planet, maybe it is optimal for you to condemn the poor to the horrors that would otherwise have been addressed by US innovation, the stuff that has made those billionaires into billionaires.
  18. Blake - please - adults are talking. Unless you have actual truth and facts to discuss....
  19. That is NOT correct - they have names, addresses, passwords, login ID's and millions of SS#, Birthdates, etc, etc.. Have you actually read the vast amount of disclosure that Trump put out about the Chinese hacks into the States Databases???? Are you familiar with PII Security Data?? https://www.ibm.com/think/topics/pii This is what they have hacked for millions of US residents in these data bases. I suggest you read the Report - I've spent 2 days reading. https://electionrecords.netlify.app
  20. Thats how cults work.
  21. So move to Canada, what's stopping you? What are you smoking, poverty wages for waiters? A fellow intern at Goldman told me that she made $400 a night waitressing in Manhattan in 1997. Today in Manhattan, somebody with zero skills working at Chipotle makes over $60K per year + 401(k)+health insurance + dental plans plus two meals a day. On Maui, a guy told me his daughter is a waitress at Mama's Fish House, and despite the place pooling tips, she clears more than $400 per day, plus health insurance, dental. Lastly, the wealth statistics are clearly bullshit. For starters, how do the statistics account for pensions, social security, private businesses? In the US, more than sixty five percent of households own their own homes. 40.3% of US homes are owned without a mortgage. So more than 26% of us households own at least one home without a mortgage. Also, it would be instructive to know how many of people with median wealth below $60K in the US worked for at least thirty years. Costco pays $33 per hour to someone who works as a cashier with 30 years of experience, with health insurance, dental and 401(k). Is that poverty level too? Most of the kids I went to high school were first generation immigrants, most parents worked menial jobs, and now after thirty to forty years of working, all parents own their own homes, many own two homes. So spare me the bullshit about poverty level wages. Lastly, you are missing cultural differences - in Europe they save, in US they spend. know a 45 year old guy and his 40 year old wife, they live in a studio paying $1100 a month on Maui, combined income close to $150K per year, yet have no savings. I know a doctor and his wife, $600K annual income in NYC, zero savings, why? Take-out twice a day and four vacations a year including a $40K a year cruise. (By the way, a relative is a doctor in residency with $200K in debt and making $70K a year and aged 29. In a few years, once she finishes residency, she is going to be making $300K+ per annum. So is she poor? A 29 European doctor is wealthier according to government statistics, but in reality, how much would he make in Europe once residency is over?)
  22. Why is it that the loudest people normally have the least to say? And how can you base your beliefs on what Trump says when all he does is lie?
  23. Nobody is comfortable with China or any foreign power vacuuming up American personal data. But voter rolls are public records. In those 18 states voter registration files are public information. Political campaigns, corporate data brokers, and commercial marketers legally buy or download this exact data every day. The declassified intelligence files don't show a hack of secure government databases. They show China gathering data that is already legally out there. They don’t contain SSNs or Driver's Licenses. Publicly accessible state voter files do not contain highly sensitive information like Social Security numbers or driver’s license data. States are required by law to keep those specific identifiers strictly confidential and restricted. You can't use it to steal a vote. Simply knowing someone’s public name and address does not allow a foreign adversary to request a ballot and vote it. Election security relies on localized verification. In fact, the declassified documents released by the White House themselves explicitly state there is zero evidence that China altered voter rolls, produced fake ballots, or changed a single vote tally. So it’s not about hypocrisy. It’s about a fundamental difference in the crime. Russia and Iran carried out cyber warfare by illegally hacking into private, encrypted servers to steal confidential, non public data for hack and leak operations. China is playing a long-game information warfare strategy by scraping public records to map out American demographics and target us with social media manipulation. Both are threats to be taken seriously, but only one is a breach of actual election security infrastructure.
  24. i think the US is the best place to be at the top 20% or so of society (sometimes I think this number is actually like top 2% but not really)...it drops off pretty quickly after that....if you have median gumption, median intelligence or median privilege, i don't think it's a great place to be relative to the others on your list. it's certainly a better place to be than other places not on your list. also, US is best place to live a suburban lifestyle, if you have a enough $$$. but asia is so much better for urban lifestyle because its so much safer and infrastructure is better. also, median asian and jewish wealth is about $0.5mm and median white wealth is $280K...so about 2/3 of the country represented by those folks are doing better than the whole.
  25. Yesterday
  26. Fair point. I was thinking more from money being split between different opportunities (?) between stock market and sports bet. CBOE is looking attractive compared to its peers. I need to dig more to see why its lacking interest in the group. The last comment in the investment ideas forum was in 2020.
  27. And forgive me for being blunt. The Chinese stole the data directly from government databases. 18 States. Worse, yet - Biden Admin did NOT tell you. If the media spins it as "harmless data, they are lying. The hack is actually sensitive & confidential voter data that IS NOT publicly available. Chinese intelligence reportedly accessed millions of U.S. voter records, stealing sensitive information including partial Social Security numbers, driver's license data, and detailed voter profiles from at least 18 states. The data breach involved names, addresses, and voting histories. And with this information - they can obtain a voters ballot and vote. Regardless - are you comfortable with the Chinese having YOUR SS#, DL, Address, Name, etc?? I doubt you are - shit, even an American Corporation is required BY LAW to notify you personally that YOUR private data has been hacked. In this case - you are finding out YEARS later your private information has been hacked, since Biden Intelligence Agencies BURIED the hack.
  28. The point is that the lawsuits brought by Biden DOJ were BECAUSE of the threat to Federal Elections. The data was hacked by Iran and Russia and stolen to influence the elections - according to Biden DOJ. It is almost identical in INTENT - but in potential impact, totally dwarfed by the massive amount of voter data that China hacked. Can't have it both ways - and say Trump is wrong, but Biden is not. That is just hypocrisy.
