dcollon
[amazonsearch]The Billionaire Shell Game: How Cable Baron John Malone and Assorted Corporate Titans Invented a Future Nobody Wanted[/amazonsearch] This was a great read if you are interested in John Malone or the history of the cable industry. L.J. Davis is a good story teller and highlights all the "big" players in the cable / telecom industry in the 70's, 80's, & 90's.
merkhet
Better than Cable Cowboys?
dcollon
merkhet, I didn't like it as much as Cable Cowboys, since that was mostly about John Malone and I'm a huge John Malone fan. However, it highlighted a lot of the other players in the business during that time frame and how they all interacted, which was interesting to read. Liberty
The title makes it sound highly critical and kind of anti-business. Is it just the title, or is that the overall tone of the book?
dcollon
No, I didn't find it highly critical of business.
Liberty
Ok, thanks. The "...future nobody wanted" part made it sound a bit too Michael Moore-ish for my taste :)
