beerbaron
I have a friend tell me he had 50 stocks certificates of Ford motor company from something like 1925 and he was wondering how much it is worth today. Most historical data I could find stopped 1978, where can I go to find out the total return? Regards BeerBaron

augustabound
Ford's IPO was in 1956 I found a site after a Google search for Ford stock certificate that shows one from the Ford Motor Company of Canada from 1908 that sold at auction. http://www.spink.com/news/news_archive/Ford.asp Of course I can't speak to the reliability of the site, but I did find it kind of cool. twacowfca
Ford's IPO was in 1956 that doesn't mean stock certificates didn't exist prior to the IPO stocks can trade OTC Ford had bought out his investors by 1925. The last to sell made 250 times their original investment. :)
