Smazz Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 When are we going to see a hard landing on Canada real estate? Interest rates - being this low the Agents keep telling buyers its a great time to buy! Having said that, my sister just bought a new place just outside Stoney Creek/Winona (Souther On for those outside the Province/Country) and she has had her closing date changed quite a few times. In fact she was supposed to be in there this September but they havent even started construction yet. Just not enough units in the complex sold. I believe the latest revised closing date communicated to her would be this coming Feb but i cant see that happening. Purchases are not going to go up in the winter. I did not see her contract but she told me it contains a provision for the builders to delay the closing date 3 times.
