jacobwolinsky Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I had tyo remove names but these notes are REALLY good (not mine) http://www.valuewalk.com/value-investing-philosophy/lecture-1-introduction-investing/
Valuebo Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Hey Jacob, thanks for the notes. Is there any way I can download (preferable) or print the document?
jacobwolinsky Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 I had to disable downloads not to be mean but for potential legal reasons.
jacobwolinsky Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 Apologizes, it has been restored.
jacobwolinsky Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 Here is part II, I had to remove names but should be obvious to any real value guy-http://www.valuewalk.com/value-investing-reports/lecture-2-introduction-investing/
prunes Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 How can a professor claim copyright ownership of notes based on a class taken? Surely this isn't a typical practice, is it?
jacobwolinsky Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 I think they can claim whatever is said in the class is only intended for the class not the public, but I am not an expert on this topic. If you search you will be able to find the full notes.
vikx01 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 All the lecture notes are available at John Chew's page here: http://www.scribd.com/john_chew I remember coming across these a couple of years ago at another user's page. They subsequently disappeared only to resurface recently. Incidentally, one of the lecture notes then , as now, had a reference to john_chew's email address. Enjoy!
jacobwolinsky Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Enjoy! I didnt want to say where they were from and piss off CBS. Chew has tons of gr8 stuff on his scribd account
eclecticvalue Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 This is why we can't have nice things!!! Now scribd isn't working for me. Columbia is serious about this especially the vids. I remember an awesome video of Li Lu was posted and somehow it got taken down.
meiroy Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 An amazing treasure trove, thanks for posting it. Thanks as well to the person who wrote the lecture notes, they are fantastic. eclecticvalue, This one? http://cbs360.gsb.columbia.edu:8080/ess/echo/presentation/749b9e77-b822-456f-8784-9dff07518360
eclecticvalue Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 No not this one, the video I am talking about was uploaded on megaupload and the video was covered on the streetcapitalist and rational walk blog.
jacobwolinsky Posted November 1, 2011 Author Posted November 1, 2011 Ask John Chew, he is super nice and might have it.
