Incentives for hedge funds, and the fund industry in general, are not aligned with the investor's own interests. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-09-07/wealthy-investors-keep-paying-hedge-fund-fees-even-with-anemic-returns.html While it has been tougher than the alternative, I could not imagine using any other fee structure than what we have...no "1 & 20", "2 & 20", or even "4 & 25"!
