JAllen
Does anyone know what "Baupost" means? I'm naming my fund right now and have spent >50 hours on it moving from one to another with made up names, stereo-typical names, and names with my last name in it (it's Allen, not very unique). Was just sitting here wondering what "Baupost" means so thought I would ask after some unsuccessful googling. Some general discussion and thoughts about hedge fund names would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer to do this once and need to resolve this soon.
Parsad
No idea, but it may have something to do with the original four families that invested in the fund. Perhaps an amalgam or anagram of their names. Anyone else? Cheers!
Liberty
Names are funny. If you become successful, almost whatever you pick (within reason) will end up sounding good. People can't help making associations like that...

eclecticvalue
Well if you haven't picked your name yet. Make sure the name of your fund sounds formidable and strong, or something that refers to something obscure. Pick an animal that hasn't been chosen yet. eclecticvalue
haha, if you did name a fund liger capital. It would sound like a hybrid fund where you mix value and momentum together.
