returnonmycapital
I read "Investing the Templeton Way" and thought it was a very good biography.
Viking
I am in the process of reading 'Investing the Templeton Way' and also like the book very much. The book provides many historical examples of that Templeton did at various times which I am especially enjoying. The book is also a simple read (i.e. likely targeted for novice value investors). My key take away is I wonder if Prem's style is not closer to Templeton than Buffett: - Prem invested heavily in the Indian stock market a couple of years ago - Prem also is buying international insurance operations (i.e. India) - Prem is very much an active investor (buy low and sell high) not buy and hold forever - Prem will take large short positions
ericd1
Another good one is Global Investing - The Templeton Way, as told to Norman Berryessa and Eric Kirzner. Based on interviews with Templeton it discusses his basic principles of investing globally using lots of examples.
returnonmycapital
There is a book known as "The Templeton Touch" published in 1983 that may have more details on the man and his methods than found in "Investing the Templeton Way". I noticed on Amazon that it is presently out of stock but they still allow orders.
