junto.investing
I'm assuming several on the Board have taken this exam. Any recommendations on study guides / books?
dcollon
I found the Kaplan books to be useful, but the in class work not worth a whole lot. The practice exams that you can take online are great for test prep and really all you need to do.

Eric50
I've used the "Pass the 65" by Robert Walker and studied on my own for a few days before the exam. I thought the book was a good way to prepare and the author has a great sense of humor. Eric

Correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but aren't you required to be sponsored by a company? I think it's that way for the 7 at least.
benhacker
Sponsorship is not required for the 65... Ben

In any event, are you talking about the practice exam package that Kaplan offers online? I read the walker book wasn't that great, but perhaps that is wrong? Palantir
Do this: Read the Blue Kaplan book. Buy the Qbank, and just do those questions. You'll kill it.
racemize
Perhaps, just this basic self-study is what you mean (it has the manual + the qbank)? http://www.kfeducation.com/securities/series-
