I finally have a free day and I’m sitting down trying to decide what I should do with it. I’m curious what specific activities you all try to fill your time with, so that I can possibly garner some fresh ideas. If you want to list the respective percentages of your total time alongside the activity, that would be great. Thanks.

I'm "retired" so every day is a free day.  Basic activities are reading, managing/seeking out investments, helping others with things I am good at, and working out/staying fit - in that order.

Who do you work for?  Have not seen too many people with 9 to 17, with an hour for lunch and ability to leave at 4 pm on a Friday.

i do travel ~3-4 weeks/year in total and do have to work more occasionally. I hold 7-8AM, 5-8PM as sacred for my young kid. If I need to get more done, I wake up at 4:30 or get it done at night in lieu of the reading. also have calls late at night but generally able to schedule b/w 8-10PM.

but yea, I'm lucky. many have to travel more / work more hours.

also helpful, I've optimized for a short commute and work home 1-2 days/wk.

Take a morning walk outside for 30-60mins. No phones, no podcasts. Just time to reflect, enjoy nature, and get some exercise. It is a luxury that I truly enjoy.
